POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

On Day 3, feminist author Urvashi Butalia from @zubaanbooks raised the very important question: what can the queer movement and feminist movement learn from each other?

@akshichawla , an independent data researcher then got us thinking in numbers – because data doesn't lie, but it sure can help us decode who gets left out and why.

Prof. Asha Achuthan from TISS Mumbai took us into queer narratives in STEMM. Looking at science through the lens of humanities helps to understand how objective and value-neutral the discipline can be.

Raj Mariwala, director of @mariwalahealth walked us through what queer affirmative mental healthcare actually looks like and shared the story of how MHI’s QACP (Queer Affirmative Counselling Practices) course came to life.

We also had a rapid-fire round with experts leading three fellowships – @saysnidhigoyal from @risingflamenow , @asaxena from @avantifellows, and @ruhashadab from @ledbyfoundation This #avengersassemble session unpacked three vantage points from which founders view the work of their fellowships, and one common goal of contributing to inclusive futures.

And to help us unwind after a long day of workshops, @johannarora from @tatsatwellness turned the room into a dance floor. We played games, laughed at questionable dance moves, and learned about the art of meditation. Deep breaths!

Fat loss doesn’t mean starving yourself. 🌿

Sustainable fat loss comes from building balanced, nourishing habits—not following extreme diets.

🥗 High Fibre → keeps you fuller for longer
🍗 Optimal Protein → supports muscle & recovery
🥑 Balanced Fat Intake → supports satiety & overall health
⚖️ Appropriate Calories → helps create a sustainable calorie deficit

The goal isn’t to eat as little as possible.
It’s to eat right, stay consistent, and build habits you can maintain.

✨ Fat loss ≠ starvation. Fat loss = balance + consistency.

Weight Loss vs Fat Loss — What Should Your Real Goal Be? 🎯

The weighing scale doesn’t tell the whole story!

When you lose weight, the change on the scale can come from:
• 💧 Water
• 💪 Muscle
• 🍽️ Food/waste
• 🔥 Fat

So, a lower number on the scale doesn’t always mean better fat loss.

What is Fat Loss? 🔥

Fat loss means reducing excess body fat while trying to preserve muscle.

Signs of progress can include:
• 📏 Reduced waist/inches
• 👗 Clothes fitting better
• 💪 Better strength
• ⚡ Improved energy
• ❤️ Better metabolic health

Why can the scale be misleading?

Your weight can fluctuate because of:
• Water retention
• Salt intake
• Menstrual cycle
• Food intake
• Sleep & stress
• Exercise

🎯 Remember:

Don’t focus only on the number on the scale.

Focus on losing excess fat, preserving muscle and improving overall health.

Your goal isn’t just to weigh less — it’s to become healthier. 🌿

👉 Save this post & share it with someone focusing only on the weighing scale.

When prana flows in harmony, the body finds steadiness, the mind becomes clear, and the heart naturally returns to its state of balance. In the yogic tradition, true health is not merely the absence of disease instead the unobstructed flow of vital energy through every layer of our being. As this subtle energy begins to move freely, we cultivate greater vitality, emotional stability, mental clarity, and a deeper connection with ourselves.

Every breath becomes an opportunity to restore balance. Every posture becomes a pathway to awaken awareness. Every moment of stillness invites us to listen to the intelligence that already resides within. Through the integrated practices of asana, pranayama, mudra, bandha, and dhyana, we gently refine the flow of prana, allowing the body, mind, and consciousness to move into greater harmony.

Join us on a transformative journey of balancing the seven chakras not simply as symbolic energy centres, but as reflections of our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.
