happy sunday 🌟🌀☀️💐

thought i was due for a May reading & life update :)

finished the first book of the emma m lion series a few days ago (SO cute and SO well written) and im currently making my way through Yesteryear and Draco Malfoy and the Mortifying Ideal of Being in Love!

outside of reading, i’ve been going for more walks, making my room even MORE cozy (i acquired a new reading chair), and celebrating my friends’ birthdays!!!!

2025 🕯️📖🍒🤎☕️🧸🎧

i feel like it hasn’t really hit me that the year is coming to a close… 2025 was a difficult year for me in the sense that i had to let a lot of things go, but in the process i’ve also let a lot of great things in. i made some lifelong friendships this year, discovered life changing reads, experienced unforgettable memories (literally went to the lake district!!) , and found comfort in my own company.

hoping 2026 is an abundance of peace, slowness, good reads, great experiences, and love, for me and for all of you!

soaking up as much of october as i can ☕️🍂

is it just me or is this month going by so fast?? october has consisted of binge-worthy spooky/fall reads, lots of dinners with tayler, and nonstop listening to olivia deans new album (i can’t get enough)

i’m currently reading one for my enemy, and hoping to squeeze in two more books before the end of october 🤞🏼 (want to finish Hell Bent, and start Not Quite Dead Yet)

this month has been so incredible! been hanging out with my favorite people, celebrated my 23rd birthday, and had some (mostly) great reads :)

my reviews:

problematic summer romance 4✰ - ali hazelwood has to be one of my favorite romance authors. i love how she blends humor, romance, banter, and emotional connection between her characters

batman: year one 3✰ - i read my first comic book this month!!! definitely an adjustment trying to figure out how to read it lol but i thoroughly enjoyed it!! will be reading more soon 🤭

ninth house 4.5✰ - i went into this book knowing absolutely nothing and im so glad i did. every plot twist and discovery got me. i LOVE alex so much, she has to be my favorite type of female main character - badass, witty, strong, and ofc sarcastic. this was the perfect read to get me into the fall mood

time of your life 3✰ - 3 stars is generous tbh ..this book would’ve been better if joah wasn’t in it 😭 ysolde had better tension with literally every other male interest oops

— atmosphere !! i mean this book you truly want to speed through and never put down. but it’s truly best to take your time and really absorb what tjr is putting down.

— katabasis!!! i love babel by rf kuang SO much, im literally foaming at the mouth to get my hands on this book.

This book is my absolute favourite... maybe it wouldn't be the perfect era to be a woman but I would love for at least a day to enjoy life in Imperial Russia.

My teenage vampire loving heart has NEVER grown up! On my bucketlist for my life I still want to visit the actual film sites...

🇮🇪Normal People - Dublin, Ireland
I feel like there's no need to explain why I'd love to live in Dublin. This is my real life goal to live there oneday in a cottage.

🇪🇸The Shadow Of The Wind - Barcelona, Spain
The descriptions of the architecture in this book have made me fall inlove with the city! And who wouldn't want to live in Spain?!

life has been so full of new friendships and experiences lately and i am genuinely so fulfilled!

- ali, ashlynn and i went to holly jacksons author event for her new release and it sounds SO interesting! holly hinted that it’s also super sad but we all agreed that we want to read it asap
- @taylerreads and i impulsively bought 11/22/63 to buddy read and we went to see Oh, Hi last night… we were left speechless let’s just say that
- i also reached 2k followers on tiktok ! totally unexpected but i am so so grateful

3 📚 I would bring if I was on a deserted island

👢Anna Karenina - it's long and if I'm on a desserted island... all I have is time to read! It's my absolute favourite book in the world... it talks of love, society and just the world itself and being alone on an island I'd be missing all of the above. And if I lose hope... this book is a literal brick so I can just drop it on my head to end my suffering on the island😂

🖋️If We Were Villains- this book is a modern classic... the drama, the betrayal, the mystery... if I'm on an island I want to be fully entertained and the characters in this book could keep me going for a lifetime

🕰️The Secret History - I can't live without thinking of this book daily... so if I'm on an island just looking at my favorite quotes will give me air to live another day.

And maybe for an extra add on...
I'll bring some Colleen Hoover books for the evenings when it's cold so I can make myself a toasty fire (I'm so sorry if this offends anyone, I just thought it was a silly funny joke)
