BLACKNESS HAS NO TEMPLATE For a long time, people have had a very specific idea of what a “Black wrestler” is supposed to look like, sound like and act like. But Black people have never been one-size-fits-all. Our styles are different. Our influences are different. The way we talk, walk, dress and carry ourselves can be completely different depending on where we come from and what shaped us. Wrestling should reflect that. Look at Lio Rush, Chris Slade, Taylor Brooks, Treehouse Lee and Ryan Razors to name a few. Different looks. Different personalities. Different influences. Different approaches to wrestling. And that's exactly the point. Representation isn't just about seeing more Black wrestlers.
