HAPPY 32ND BIRTHDAY TO ME 🎈| FAITH ❤️

To the little boy on the top bunk with relentless grit…

Your addiction to having no fear of failure is going to pay off real soon.

Congrats on another chapter of life, Kid. Tomorrow we celebrate, we rest, WE PRAY.

May God grant me everything I work and pray for this chapter and keep me safe and sound with my best friend and my children.

With Love ❤️

🎥 Had to run this one back. So extremely proud of this scene and the work I got to do with @taylorharbu - still one of the only short films I keep on my demo reel. 🎞️

This is the ✌🏼second project I got to work with @crichmedia who is tearing it up right now with her series “Besties” which just got picked up by FOX!!! Make sure you check it out as Season 3 is coming up. She is the founder of Bronx Film Initiative and a star on the rise. 🌟🌟🌟

Also got to work with @wwwjustleon (who is now my frat brother 🤘🏼🤘🏽🤘🏿 GOMAB) where he co-directed along with Christina and serves on the Board of Directors for Bronx Film Initiative, an amazing nonprofit inspiring future filmmakers in historically marginalized communities. Please support them whenever you can! www.bronxfilminitiative.org

Been thinking a lot about storyboards and how important they are to the filmmaking process. When I was making The Woods, I filled two journals with hand-drawn storyboards so I could communicate my vision to the production team before cameras ever started rolling. Doing this helped me see the movie before I made it, and helped me know my own story better. I’m not a great illustrator, but that doesn’t matter. Doing this with my limitations, not dispite them, made my art stronger in the end. I could never imagine asking a cold machine to do something so intimate and important and FUN as this. I love art, I love artists, I love movies, and I love people and all the messy, weird stuff we get to make as human beings. Idk just thinking a lot about this recently!!!
