POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
For accountability, here is the shit-reel from states.

Battled with endless stage failures, delays, and physical and psychological fatigue in the second half of the day.

Performed way below my average and tanked my overall results.

Beretta 85 thoughts on Monday morning. I’ve been thinking a lot about safeties on handguns lately since I got the USP9C. My Beretta 85 was an Italian prison trade in that Cabela’s had and I got it for $9.65 after using my Cabela’s points. These should not be confused with the Beretta 84 which has a double stack magazine, the 85 has an 8 shot single stack mag. You get 9 rounds in the gun if you plus up, which I would. The trigger is long and smooth with a crisp break, the safety is easy to reach, crisp going on and off, and the most important criteria for a safety on a handgun is met with the Beretta 85, it’s intuitive. I desperately need more magazines for it, they are less available and more expensive than Beretta 84 mags. I carry mine with Hornady 90 grain XTP’s. It acted in the role of a secondary mountain gun this weekend, backing up my Glock 21. Is 380 in this format a mountain round, and is the Beretta 85 an appropriate mountain gun? Sometimes yes, in my opinion. My biggest concerns are unhinged people and their dogs so my first line of defense is always pepper spray. A Beretta 85 after that is decent in the role I’ve set. However, we don’t always get to set the roles that we end up in. A 66-8 combat magnum could be better, same with a Glock 21, or Glock 19. Still my Beretta 85 will come to the mountains more often.
