Little story. So no shit, there I was, on the coast of Italy. I’m learning to snorkel, among other things. I’m not much of a watersports guy, having grown up in the mountains and forests. I believe that snorkeling is the closest thing to flying that a person can get. Everything below, not touching the ground. It’s beautiful under the water, a completely different world. Anyway, found some old gals out there diving for sea urchin. They would take it and eat it immediately, little scissors and spoons tethered to their hands. I told them I’ve never tried it. They kindly offered to share. A quick dive and this lady comes up with a fresh one, cracks it open and proceeds to offer me bits. All while swimming, not a word of English. So there I was, completely out of my element, eating wild sea urchin with this lady’s scissors in my mouth. I cannot make this shit up. Damn it was delicious. And I didn’t die. This time. Go out and have wild experiences, try new stuff and maybe enjoy the ride. It’s a one way journey. by @taylorpractical

Can you imagine sitting in front of a medieval castle having a cold beer and the best small bakery yums in a public square? I can’t, must be a fantasy. There’s free potable water everywhere, folks aren’t under such economic pressure, walk more than drive, enjoy simple little things daily. Can’t be real. Guess I’d better smash my head into these castle walls just to wake up in the rut I’d been living in. Your mileage may vary but make sure the miles are scenic on occasion. by @taylorpractical

Can you imagine not being able to drive any car other than your fancy one? Stock guns are everywhere, if you can’t drive them that’s on you. The most important metric is skill, regardless of platform. While Glocks are far from perfect they work very well and that’s a fact. Yes the plastic sights suck, I just black out the rear with a sharpie, it’ll still put bullets where I need them. Nice to have familiar friends in foreign places. Be good, it’s a choice. by @taylorpractical

The amount of posts I don’t make is damn close to one hundred percent. Exploring is fun, learning new things is cool. Keep scrolling. Or maybe go outside. by @taylorpractical

Banging stages at the local club, super great squad! It’s a fun challenge running irons. Red dots are in fact superior aiming devices, period. Made a few minor mistakes throughout the day but all correctable with proper practice and perhaps some cleats 🤘🏻 by @taylorpractical

Always good to be outside on a beautiful day. Always good to see friends. I don’t really know how to work instagram, it’s not my thing. I also don’t know how to work an open gun. Thanks to my friends for talking me into this. All borrowed equipment and it was super fun. No real issues other than having to learn a new index, that optic sits way tall. And the usual user errors that i normally do. Go outside, learn new things. by @taylorpractical

Fun match today! Got a little windy and chilly but it was a beautiful day otherwise. Always good to see friends and meet some new ones. I really wish I hadn’t set my phone on the table for my classifier run, won’t be doing that again. Had some little bobbles but actually managed to shoot clean overall. Always lots of practice left to do, time to get after it by @taylorpractical

Feeling good to get after it today. Had some hiccups for sure. Misplaced the better holster and my reloads were not so clean. Always humbling to shoot with dudes that really shred. I probably ought to invest in a first person camera so I can look cool like these dudes @coshoodah @rc_practical and others by @taylorpractical

I realize I haven’t posted any match footage in a while. I continue to compete and get the film. This is for my own evaluation and skill development, not so much for the gram. Many times I’ve been asked by other shooters what they should be doing to get better. They are universally surprised when I tell them to film themselves doing dryfire. Self awareness and critique made easier through the technology we all have in our pockets. Get after it. Reviewing my previously posted match footage compared to this set about a year later things have noticeably improved. Always lots of work to do but I can literally see the practice paying off. by @taylorpractical
