Welcome to THE DRAG BALL: Superheroes! Get ready to witness the fiercest display of drag artistry in its purest form!
On April 6, we celebrate the power of drag, as an art of rebellion, resistance, and resilience. We honor the drag Superheroes who have paved the way for us all to strut our stuff and live our truth.
From Stonewall to RuPaul's Drag Race, drag has always been a force for change. It's not just about the lashes and the wigs, it's about using our bodies and our art to fight against the forces of hate and intolerance.
Let's channel our inner SuperSheroes at MTKVARZE and show the world what we're made of. We're here to slay, conquer, and remind everyone that being fabulous is an act of revolution.
So grab your glitter, heels, and best superhero cape, and let's show the world that we are here, fierce and not backing down. This is THE DRAG BALL: Superheroes, and we are ready to rule the world!

🇪🇺🇬🇪 Georgia applied for EU membership in March 2022 after Russia invaded Ukraine. A few months later, the European Council decided it would grant the country candidate status once it fulfils 12 priorities including institutional reforms to strengthen democratic oversight and electoral reforms, anti-corruption measures and involving civil society organisations in the decision-making process.

However, the Georgian government's attempt to pass a law that is modelled on the Russian foreign agents law sparked huge protests and forced the government to rethink the way forward.

The EU is closely watching the developments in Georgia.

Being a drag artist is a dissident, provocative act.

With this performance of mine on @the_dragball I tried to show that drag is an important medium through which to challenge social oppression, imposed identity norms, misrepresentation, exclusion; to fight for the underrepresented and to remind everyone that drag is not just about hair, make-up and gowns .

Performing in drag is a political act, no matter where you are.

My drag is a statement in itself, a statement that says FUCK YOU because you are wrong.

And if you are angry, so you should be because all these societal norms relating to gender, identity, sexuality, all these issues, they are all unresolved.

The political nature of drag, and those of us involved in it must resist and change established misbeliefes and doctrines with our art. What's the point if your art is not political? Most of us will never be mainstream anyway, so we don't need to sweet-talk and moderate our opinions into more 'acceptable forms', do we?

Use your stage presence, use your voice, make a point, take a stand.

Tbilisi, Georgia 🇬🇪
⠀
Hi! We are Sony & Sia @family_sn_
We're not just traveling. We live in different cities and countries and talk about life from the inside in our instagram blog. We love to eat delicious food, cook different dishes and share recipes.
⠀
▪️Why you like/love this place as LGBT+ traveler(s)?
🏳️‍🌈 We liked Tbilisi from the first minutes. Cozy streets, atmospheric architecture, lots of parks and greenery around, several waterfalls almost in the center of the city. High mountains surround Tbilisi from all sides. You can climb them and admire the magnificent view along the cable cars, which are also many in Tbilisi. And, of course, people give this city a special atmosphere. Tbilisi is home to a large number of people of different nationalities, all very friendly. And it is also a very safe city where you can walk at any time.
⠀
▪️If you can only choose two activities or two places to visit in this location, what will it be?
🗺 The first thing you need to do when you arrive in Tbilisi is to go hiking in the mountains. You can find a large variety of author's tours with fascinating routes and stunning views. We really liked Truso, you can watch our hike in our highlights. The second place we recommend to visit is the botanical garden. To get into it, you need to climb the cable car, which is located in the city center. The botanical garden is quite large and is located in a mountainous area. There are two waterfalls in it, where you can sit and enjoy the sound of water and unity with nature. And of course, you should definitely walk along the central streets of Tbilisi to feel the atmosphere of this city.
⠀
▪️If you could only choose two places to eat in this location, where will it be?
🍽️ We really like 2 restaurants here. The first one is called Orangery (@orangery_cafe_more) and is located in Vake Park on Chavchavadze Avenue. The second restaurant is called HIDE (@hide_tbilisi), it is located in the city center.
⠀
▪️ If you could only have two (drink/coffee/tea/soft drink) in this location, where will you go?
🍸 It's nice to sit by the fireplace and drink delicious drinks at the Orangery restaurant.
⠀
Thank you for sharing your tips with us.
