For those who grew up in Maharashtra, Diwali mornings have a charm of their own! The early morning excitement, the fragrance of उटणं, beautiful rangolis, फराळ, new clothes… and of course, the soulful music of दिवाळी पहाट! ✨

There’s something so beautiful about coming together, listening to music, and celebrating our traditions. ❤️

And while we may be miles away from Maharashtra, who says we can’t recreate a little bit of that magic here? 🥹

This year, Kala Sangam, in collaboration with Aamhi Marathi, brings you Peace & Joy — an intimate musical baithak featuring the beautiful sounds of flute and tabla. 🪈🪘

And then came the chorus… 🥹❤️ Lazy Lamhe💃💃

When the entire class started singing along while I was dancing, I genuinely got emotional. In that moment, it felt like all the energy and love I'd poured into the room was coming right back to me. And there's something incredibly special about realizing that you've made people feel something through dance.

I've always loved teaching fun, high-energy Bollywood tracks, but Lazy Lamhe brought a whole different kind of sass to the room! 🔥

And what a class this turned out to be!

I love that sass, expression, and movement aren't confined to any one gender. Seeing everyone embrace the style, step outside their comfort zones, and push through a challenging choreography made me so happy.

And the best part? Nobody wanted to stop dancing!

We stayed back for another hour after class, drilling, dancing, laughing, and running the choreography over and over again. Almost THREE hours of dancing, simply because we were having so much fun!

These are the moments I cherish as an instructor. Not just seeing people execute choreography, but seeing them connect with the music, challenge themselves, and give that energy right back.

Thank you for showing up with so much heart. You made this class incredibly special. 💙

One year. 25 tables. Nearly 300 guests. Countless memories. ❤️

And just like that, Aamhi Marathi turned ONE! 🥹

A year filled with elaborate menus, endless prep, late-night cooking, last-minute chaos, laughter, new friendships, and moments that made every bit of effort worthwhile!

We’ve experimented, learned, celebrated, and grown with every table. Some things went exactly as planned, others… well, let’s just say they made for great stories! 😂

But the most special part of this journey has been the people. Those who showed up for our very first table, those who joined us along the way, those who kept coming back, and everyone who cheered us on from the sidelines. ❤️

To our families, friends, helpers, and every single guest who has been part of Aamhi Marathi — THANK YOU! 🙏

Here’s to a year of bringing Maharashtrian food, traditions, and hospitality together, and to all the stories still waiting to unfold! 🥰

One year down, and so much more to dream about!

A little glimpse into a day that will stay with us for a long, long time. ❤️

From getting everything ready, welcoming everyone in, Bappa’s darshan and aarti… to the sounds of laughter, conversations, and a full Pangat coming together. 🪔🌺

There was something so special about seeing everyone sit side by side, enjoying a traditional Maharashtrian Pangat the way so many of us remember it — with आग्रह, गप्पा, and that unmistakable feeling of घरचं. ❤️

So much warmth, so much joy, and so many beautiful moments packed into one afternoon.
