Making Ukdiche Modak for our Bappa — one fold at a time. 😍 Perfect modaks using flour from @21kalya__byakshata 🥰🙌🏻

Soft rice flour covering, filled with the goodness of coconut and jaggery, carefully shaped by hand and steamed to perfection. But the most important ingredient? A whole lot of love and devotion. 🙏

Modak is believed to be Bappa’s favorite, and somehow, making them at home for him makes Ganeshotsav feel even more special. 🥹❤️

From preparing the saran, shaping every little kali, to finally opening the steamer and seeing them ready… this is one tradition that fills both the kitchen and the heart.

And finally… our Sagar Manthan dekhava comes to life!!

For this year’s Ganeshotsav, we chose to recreate Sagar Manthan — the Churning of the Ocean, one of the most fascinating stories from our mythology. 🌊

With Mandrachal Parvat as the churning rod and Vasuki wrapped around it, the Dev and Danav churned the ocean together in their quest for Amrit.

But before the treasures emerged came Halahal — the deadly poison powerful enough to threaten all of creation. Lord Shiva consumed the poison to save the universe, holding it in his throat and earning the name Neelkanth. 🔱💙

As the churning continued, extraordinary Ratnas — divine treasures — emerged from the ocean, each carrying its own significance. And eventually came Dhanvantari with the Amrit Kalash, the nectar of immortality.

We tried to bring these moments together in our dekhava — from the churning of Mandrachal and Vasuki, to Halahal, Lord Shiva and the Ratnas emerging from the ocean. 🌊🪷

And above it all sits our beloved Bappa, completing our Ganeshotsav celebration. ❤️🙏

After weeks of imagining, creating and putting every little detail together… here it finally is. Our Sagar Manthan.
