“Nobody fights for you like you do”

I went into this conference thinking I’d learn about advocacy.

I left realizing I’d been living it since my stage 4 diagnosis — I just didn’t have the words for it.

3 lessons from Health e Matters that changed how I show up for myself (and my health):

1️⃣ Ask the uncomfortable questions anyway
2️⃣ Your story is data too — share it
3️⃣ You don’t need permission to advocate for yourself

If you’ve ever felt dismissed in a doctor’s office, this one’s for you.

💬 Save this for your next appointment.

📤 Share it with someone who needs to hear “you don’t need permission.”

👇 Tell me — what’s one thing you wish you’d asked your doctor sooner?

When you are in a room full of people who are on the same mission as you, the impact is amplified. I can’t wait for next year. Thank you to each one of you !

Cancer sucks, but finding your people makes it suck a little less. Strangers become sisters, and suddenly, you don’t have to navigate the hard days alone. There’s something so special about a community that just gets it. Forever grateful for these women and the way we show up for each other 🫶🏼✨

Life after cancer, young adult cancer, cancer community, cancer sucks, cancer in your 30s
