@tea.kvar | Croatia 🇭🇷

In the artistic practice of Tea Kvar, a Croatian illustrator and muralist, reality and imagination come together through vivid colors, organic forms, surreal imagery and expressive characters.

Her deeply narrative visual language combines irony and sensitivity, transforming urban surfaces into images that evoke stories, emotions and unexpected perspectives on everyday life.

For Tea, public art is also about connection: a dialogue with places, their communities and the encounters that shape the creative process.

From October 20 to 30, 2026, Tea Kvar will be an artist in residence in Stigliano for APPARTENGO.

An opportunity for her creative universe to engage with a community that continues to explore new ways of telling its stories through art.

It’s hard to put these past few days into words. We’re still taking it all in, but what a privilege it was to listen to these talks and have all of these people with us in Split.

We opened the festival with Mate Žaja and his exhibition Third Shift, followed by talks from Allan Dransfield, Claudia Pasquero, Jonathan Castro Alejos, Tea Jurišić / TEA KVAR, Rick Banks, David Pearson, Peter, Boštjan & Aleš Gabrijelčič, and Mark Ovenden.

A huge thank you to everyone who came, listened, asked questions, shared their thoughts and spent these days with us.

And thank you to all our volunteers, partners, sponsors and everyone who helped make Cyan happen. We couldn’t do it without your support.

Next year, Cyan turns five. 😮

See you in 2027. 💙
