Sometimes you just gotta step away and get your dam hands dirty.

Your fitness tracker is a tool. Not your boss.

Some of you fellas wake up, check your sleep score, HRV, or recovery numbers and decide you’re going to have a shitty day before your feet even hit the dam floor.

I’ve been guilty of it myself.

Don’t get me wrong. I love the data. But there’s a difference between using information to make better decisions and letting that information control your mindset.

A bad recovery score doesn’t automatically mean you’re going to have a bad day.

Listen to your body. Pay attention to the trends. But don’t let a damn watch or ring tell you how you’re supposed to feel.

I’m curious, how many of you check your recovery score before you even get out of bed? 👇

More is not always better. Sometimes more is exactly what’s holding you back.

As entrepreneurs, we have a tendency to chase the next opportunity. Another business. Another project. Another way to make money.

Before you know it, you’ve got your hands in so much shit that you’re not giving anything the attention it deserves.

And here’s what I’ve learned. Just because you have a great team doesn’t mean your businesses don’t still need YOU.

Your energy, your leadership, and your attention are not unlimited.

At some point, you have to ask yourself if you’re actually building something great or just keeping a bunch of things alive.

Sometimes the smartest move isn’t adding more. It’s getting better at what you already have.

Fellow business owners, have you ever caught yourself taking on too much? Or are you dealing with it right now?

Not every day is going to be a good one. And that’s alright.

Some days you’re going to get your ass kicked. Things won’t go your way. You’ll make mistakes, lose your patience, or feel like you’re taking two steps backward.

That’s life.

But don’t let one bad day turn into a bad week, a bad month, or a bad outlook on life.

The sun is going to come up tomorrow whether you’re ready or not. And when it does, you get another shot.

Learn from yesterday. Leave behind what you can’t change. Be grateful you woke up with another opportunity to get it right.

Yesterday is gone. Don’t drag it into today.

Who needed this reminder this today?👊

Take a step back, handle your 💩 and keep moving! It’s easier said than done! But you’ll never solve a problem in a heightened state of emotion!

One of the hardest things about being a founder isn’t building the business.
.
It’s leading the people who become part of it.
.
When you build something from nothing, it’s personal. You’ve poured years of your life into it. You’ve sacrificed things most people will never see.
.
Then one day, you look around and realize you’re responsible for leading hundreds of people who all have different personalities, expectations, opinions, and definitions of success.
.
Some believe in your vision. Some challenge it. Some will never fully understand the decisions you have to make.
.
And here’s the hard part.
.
You have to lead them all.
.
You have to listen when you disagree. Make decisions that won’t make everyone happy. Take criticism without always being able to defend yourself. And sometimes carry the weight of decisions that nobody else even knows you’re facing.
.
I’ve gotten this wrong plenty of times.
.
I’ve let my emotions get involved. I’ve taken things personally. I’ve expected people to care about something as deeply as I do.
.
But I’ve learned that leadership isn’t about getting everyone to see things your way.
.
It’s about having the patience, humility, and conviction to keep moving people forward, even when it’s uncomfortable.
.
With all that said I still LOVE what I do and I’m grateful that I GET to do this everyday!
.
To the other founders and leaders out there, what’s been the hardest lesson you’ve had to learn about leading people?

Q3 was a great challenge for #TeamMontae inside the @1stphorm app

This is just a few people who got after it

@radrachel_os who has been at it longer than 8 weeks but finished up her Q3 challenge and has made great progress in making this a lifestyle

@jraymond113 who is the definition of consistency and making this a lifestyle! At it for over 3 years now and has only gotten better and better

@shaniamayyy who crushed her 8-week challenge and has still been getting after it since the finish?

Just highlighting these three right now, but trust me, there's more to come!

Super proud of all the individuals on the team putting in work and not just improving their physique but improving all areas of their life

LETS KEEP WORKING

Saturday was awesome!!

Saturday, I was invited to sample 1stPhorm Products at the Excelerate Fitness Member Appreciation Day!

Members were given the opportunity to bring a friend to train with them. There was food, my 1stPhorm Products, and raffles giving away some AMAZING prizes!

Let me tell you about this gym. They have built a REAL COMMUNITY! Members support and encourage each other! I heard things like, “I used to be scared to go to a gym but here, everyone’s welcome.”

You always hear me talking about community and, well, THIS IS IT!

Not only was it a great event, the best part was THE PEOPLE!! So many smiling faces. So many wonderful conversations.

If you are in the Arlington area, this gym NEEDS TO BE your new home!!

Thank you Cornell for the invitation and thank you to Excelerate for the opportunity to share the best supplements in the world with your members.

Stock up with all your 1stPhorm products at Excelerate Fitness: 1200 N. Herndon St. #203 Arlington, VA 22201

The last few days at the Project LeanNation Summit have been a roller coaster of emotions in the absolute best way.

I walked away taking a hard look at how I’m showing up. Not just for myself, but as a wife, a mom, a business owner, and a leader.

Hearing @mrfrisella and Pastor @doug_garasic speak challenged me to think bigger, dig deeper, and recognize the areas of my life where there is still so much room to grow. I left with new books to read, new perspectives to carry with me, and a renewed commitment to becoming better in every area of my life.

There was a time when uncomfortable change scared me. Now, I welcome it.

Because growth requires discomfort. And stepping into my new role on the PLN HQ team, I know I have a responsibility to keep raising my own standard if I’m going to help others raise theirs.

Thank you to @1stphorm for opening your doors and hosting us. The environment, the people, and the experience is always something unforgettable.

And thank you, @plntim for building something I am genuinely passionate about. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of what comes next.

I believe in Project LeanNation. I believe in the people behind it. And I couldn’t be more excited to help build its future.

Here’s to getting uncomfortable, continuing to grow, and becoming the kind of leader who continues to lead by example. 🧡💚

When your belief and passion in two brands is so high, you don’t just bridge the gap.

You become the catalyst for the whole relationship.

To say that Sam and I are passionate for @projectleannation and @1stphorm is an understatement.

The mission and core values of both are us to the core.

We aren’t here just to be fit.

But to be the best example for others to be their best selves.

To be servant leaders when it isn’t convenient.

To fight for our beliefs and what is right even when it isn’t popular.

Showing that the small guy has a chance to win when they show up to work.

Here’s to another year of @projectleannation_cdga showing up for its community.
