Life update! I just graduated college and started working as a remote software engineer, and now I’m packing up for a 3-month road trip through the western US starting August 16! 15 national parks, tons of new people, and plenty of prayer times on the road. I’m pumped to see how God works through this adventure!

I’m launching a new travel account @ChancesPOV to share my journey if you’d like to follow along! Also, if you know families or ministries along my route who might host me, please reach out. I’d love to both meet new people and save money on housing that I can instead use to bless others. The NDFB Student Volunteer Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors based on a point system, with additional points given to students who accumulate the most volunteer hours. Additionally, students can earn extra points by joining

NDFB as a student member. Deadline is May 1.

Our banquet was tonight so I thought id recap my year in ffa.

Last June I was awarded a bronze in ag mech and silver in floriculture at state convention. I was also chosen as hebron's delegate.

Last June I also attended ndsu's range camp. I was in the top ten in the contest there.

In August I attended the nd ffa camp and got to meet new people and the state officers.

In September I placed 10th at state range and earned my third gold pin.

September was also the North dakota state leadership conference where I met new friends and had a blast.

In October I took off 7 days to attend the national ffa convention. BLAST HIGHLY RECOMMEND

This fall I competed in parli pro where our team was first in our district and silver at state. I also competed in demonstration and got a silver at district leadership.

Yesterday I competed in livestock at state and have practiced and competed throughout winter.

Today was the banquet and I was elected for a second term as our Vice president and earned my chapter degree and pin.

SO MANY THINGS! That was epic. I can't even believe that I got the opportunity to attend THE #nationalconvention

We stayed with so many Nebraska people that we got invited to their state dance.

The zoo is spectacular. There was a walk on kangaroo enclosure that was top tier.

I got to talk to so many different states and they told me that
1. It's Arkansaw not Our Kansas
2. Texas and Alaska are NOT right next to eachother
3. Missouri ≠ Mississippi
4. Connecticut is not near Colorado
5. North and South Dakota are real and not by North or South Carolina

National Convention is awesome and I highly recommend

Very sad to see my personal friend @nffacvp (the national Central Region Vice President, Mary Schrieber, that i met once at state convention) retiring address

Finally, I got the opportunity to meet the state officers from Colorado, Florida, Texas, Utah, Rhode Island, South Dakota, and PUERTO RICO
