"Princess" Sensi Alyssa started her 1st summer job at 12 years old, inspiring and teaching young kids Karate. Today she had her 2nd degree Blackbelt test and she had the highest score, she also broke some boards, lol. Super proud of how mature and responsible she can be 🤗👏🥰 #proudparents #karateprincess #girlpower #love #nksAjax #NorthernKarate

Don't give up. Each Kata. Each technique. Each drill. Each time you show up for yourself. Moves you along your journey.

This is how a karate boy is dealing with Covid-19. Sooo glad to have Karate partners altogether in #IG live class. Let’s keep punching and kicking.

Great practice tip from team Willowdale!!! With the NKS basic katas uploaded into our app. Here’s a great way to practice your kata, in the interim.
Count your child through their kata. Have them hold each move and take a picture. Then you can show them each picture afterwards and they can see how they performed. If you have students purple and above you can ask them if they see anything they can correct. You can even ask them if that’s how their favourite Sensei would do it, or if their Sensei would be proud of how it looks.
For lower belts, who are unsure of their kata, there’s no reason why you couldn’t practice only 1 or 2 moves at a time.

The most important thing is to continue practice. Karate practice will help with taking care of physical and mental health during these challenging days.

Higher belt adults. Have your spouse do the same with your advanced kata.
This might be a great idea to implement once everyone is back in the dojo training🤔🤣👍🏽 #personalbest ALWAYS
