Today, our @leadershipri class had the incredible opportunity to spend time with the @rinationalguard and learn more about the tremendous impact they have across our state supporting, serving, and protecting our communities and fellow Rhode Islanders. Yet another experience I’m incredibly grateful for through Leadership RI. Every opportunity to learn from people who dedicate their lives to serving others reminds me how much there is still to learn, how important it is to continue growing, and what a privilege it is to lead. I’m especially grateful for the freedoms we often take for granted … freedoms made possible by the men and women who sacrifice their time, energy, and sometimes so much more to protect them. Feeling very grateful today for the opportunity to learn, to lead, and to continue evolving alongside such incredible diverse people. 🇺🇸

It was humbling to have the support of so many people from our Latino community yesterday. I’m grateful to everyone who came out, shared their support, and continues to believe in the work we’re doing for Pawtucket. Our community is stronger when we come together, and I’m thankful to be surrounded by so many people who care deeply about the future of our city. #todobiencongrebien ⭐️

💜 #latinaleadership #latinasleadingtheway #latinaleaders #latinapower #latinaleadershipinstitute

As the World Cup comes to a close today, I'm reflecting on what Summer of Soccer meant for our state. It became a testament to what is possible when state and local government, nonprofits, businesses, and community organizations all come together around a shared vision. Together, we welcomed visitors from across the world while creating safe, exciting programming that brought people together and showcased the very best of Rhode Island. A huge thank you to Liz Tanner and James Diossa for leading this statewide initiative, and to Kristen Adamo and the GoProvidence team for serving as the backbone that kept everything moving forward. The City of Providence also deserves tremendous credit for creating an incredible PVD Fan Zone. It brought nonstop programming to the heart of downtown, giving residents and visitors a place to gather, celebrate, and experience the excitement of the World Cup together. United Way mobilizing hundreds of volunteers throughout the tournament to welcome visitors, support Fan Zones, and assist with youth soccer tournaments was no small feat. It would not have been possible without the incredible leadership of Jenna Ramos and Stefanie Calliri. Thank you both for everything you did to make it happen! Summer of Soccer showed what's possible when Rhode Island works together. Proud to have played a small role in an effort that brought so much energy, connection, and unity to our state. ⚽❤️🙏

I invested some time in Pawtucket and Central Falls today at the @_mundialito Women’s Soccer Tournament, and was reminded that community doesn’t just happen - it’s built by those who show up for one another. My friend, @teambaena, did a fantastic job organizing today’s event in partnership with great community partners like (@dongrebien and @kswiss12) and vendors like @mamaluchysempanadasri (yes, that’s Mama L—— herself- you’ve gotta try her empanadas). Plus - you never know who you’ll run into in CF and Pawtucket! I was honored to chat with @kimberley.crabbe, who broke barriers as the first Black woman to play for the U.S. Women’s National Soccer Team. Congrats to all the talented players on their positive energy and effort!
