💜 We all have that first “yes” that changed everything.
That job that wasn’t the dream… but was the first foot in the door.
That moment when someone gave us a chance right when we needed it most.

During this season of gratitude, I’ve been reflecting a lot on my own beginning, and how every open door came from hard work, family support, and refusing to give up on my dreams.

If you’re still waiting for your opportunity, don’t lose hope.
And if you’ve already had that moment, share your story in the comments 👇🏽
I’d love to celebrate it with you.

Si estás esperando tu oportunidad, no te rindas.

🗳️ #Earlyvoting starts TODAY, CF! 💜

Midterm #elections matter! From local races to four important #ballotquestions, there's a lot to consider this November.

In this video, I share a few reminders and explain my concerns about some of the proposed Charter changes.

And just to clarify something I've been receiving questions about: I support closing the term-limit loophole. My concerns were with the rushed process and extending term limits when it wasn't necessary to address that issue.

🌿 Today, we recognize Indigenous Peoples' Day, honoring the history, cultures, resilience, and contributions of Indigenous peoples, not only throughout history, but in our communities today.

Here in #RhodeIsland, we especially recognize the #Narragansett and #Wampanoag peoples, along with other Indigenous communities whose continued presence enriches our state.

Celebrating our diversity also means acknowledging histories that have too often gone unrecognized. We can take pride in our own roots and traditions while continuing to learn about, respect, and honor those of others.

💜 May we continue building a #CentralFalls where every story has a place.

#FlashbackFriday 💜📸

September was BUSY! 😂 And while I've been a little behind on sharing everything, I couldn't let the month go by without highlighting some of the incredible people, organizations, and experiences that made it so special.

From #leadership experiences and cultural celebrations to supporting local businesses, celebrating our artists, and investing in organizations that strengthen our communities, September was full of opportunities to learn, connect, celebrate, and give back.

One of my favorite things about the work I get to do is seeing how interconnected our communities really are. So many people doing meaningful work in different ways, all contributing to a stronger #CentralFalls and #RhodeIsland.

Grateful for the invitations, conversations, partnerships, and friendships along the way. 💜

Here's a little September photo dump! Swipe through to see what I've been up to. ➡️

#GrowingUpInCF … IYKYK. 😂💜

The empanadas, the people, riding your bike everywhere, speaking a little English, un poquito de español… and everybody knew everybody. Some things you just had to be there. 😂

#CentralFalls has changed over the years, but those memories - and the people we made them with - will always be part of what makes this place home. 💜

Okay, #CF… what did I miss? 👀 What would YOU add to the list?

---

#CreciendoEnCF … si sabes, sabes. 😂💜

Bueno, CF… ¿qué me faltó? 👀 ¿Qué agregarían USTEDES a la lista?
