You’ve gotta earn the right to lift the weight & not ego lift…

That being said sometimes you need to allow for some form slip in order to progress. You have to force adaptation and that sometimes means taking a weight that feels to heavy now and then working to make that a better set that’s more comfortable.

Don’t be scared chasing some load but at the same time make sure you’re not ego lifting.

Over this year not only have we completely transformed Josh’s physique but we’ve also made his life long dream of competing in bodybuilding a reality as well & not without bringing silverware home either.

Getting 2nd 🥈 in PCA first timers
3rd 🥉 in 2bros

Unfortunately no placing at the British finals but it was no negative feelings about it as the lineup was stacked and we know we just need to be bigger. We brought the trademark most peeled glutes on stage & it was an epic show to finish the season.

More importantly then the results the friendship we’ve built over this year has been incredible, love you bro 👊

An amazing battle between him and @jacobtipperr which was really nice to see both incredible athletes at their ages & will go far in the sport.

Definitely a redemption after the fitX which was the most important thing, now it’s time to grow & get massive 😮‍💨🔥

Our first long off season over the last few years as opposed to prepping each year, this year we just focused on growing and it’s fair to say it’s gone well.

Next year will be the longest season we’ve done, with multiple federations planned. I can’t wait for it 🫡

Duel of the fates, the song that won me the challenge round.

The hardest of rounds man, @lukevinnicombe and @marius_physique put up a FIGHT and really didnt make it easy at all. Honoured to be among such talent!

Posing challenge round champion @coachedbystewie 🫶❤️

When I first met Stewie it was backstage at @wnbf_uk in 2023 and after that a few weeks later we spoke about working together & it was at that point I told him I thought he could be one of the best posing coaches in the world 🌎

Understandably a lot of people doubted that due to his lack of competitive experience which was something we both had in common I had the same thing as a prep coach with not many shows under my belt.

What we continued to do was show the passion and love for our craft and prove the doubters wrong.

Stewie definitely did exactly what he set out to do which was prove he’s one of the best posers in the world & that our standards are extremely high in all departments 🫡

Couldn’t be prouder.

Also a cool full circle moment as @jonlofthousee & @flowbysammy did my first ever posing seminar, posing lessons & my posing routine for my show so I’ve watched them grow the posing industry from the ground up and thats been pretty amazing.

It is truly an honour to be able to say this, but i won… the best of the 12 at freestyling. Still feels a bit surreal tbh 😅

Practicing for this round was very interesting and involved a LOT of time posing (like more than a reasonable human should), freestyling specific styles and getting very acquainted with the tracks we would be shown.

@jonlofthousee shared 3 playlists with us on spotify… one for each of the rounds, so we could familiarise ourselves with the music that would be used. We would know the tracks, but not the timestamp nor the track we got, so all our "routines" were just straight off the dome on the day. There were 21 tracks totalling 1hr36mins of total music for the round, so it would have been an impossible task making premade routines for this round.

Round 1 (80s): Vs @_dwhit
Show Me Heaven - Maria McKee
Went for as much of an 80s style as i could, incorporating time-accurate flows and poses of the era, taking it nice and slow… not doing too much

Round 2 (Cinematic): Vs @flow.volution
Time - Hans Zimmer
This was a bit harder, not a song i particularly wanted as i felt it was a bit too slow, tried to make the most of it by instead of posing to the beat, switching up and using half and quarter beats to change pacing in order to create maximum dynamic emphasis

Round 3 (Finale): Vs @lukevinnicombe & @marius_physique
Duel Of The Fates (Epic Version) - Samuel Kim
Going first here, i knew i had to create an absolute masterpiece otherwise id be decimated by two seriously good posers. As soon as the music came on, i knew the direction i wanted to go.
Speed. Every beat. Minimal repetition. Lots of movement.
Suffice to say, ending with a standing ovation from the judges and the audience… id say it went pretty damn well 😂

Now by no means was this an easy feat, i truly worked my ass off for this and i wanted that trophy so i did everything within my power to take it home with me!
12 incredible fucking artists went head to head and each brought an incredible package, it was such an experience to not only compete but to be able to watch this too.

It’s not necessarily poor posing but it’s poor posture that is ruining your physique.

Standing tall will also allow you to look confident and massively improve your stage presence which can result in a high placing.

Learning how to present a physique you’ve grafted for is something many athletes lack on. You out the time into training, cardio, steps and nutrition but you’re not learning to show your physique to the best it can be.
