“You are from God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬ ‭

I have found myself constantly looking for myself and individuality in softball. I would often get lost in my athletic ability and go astray. It has once been my whole identity, and without it I was convinced I did not know who I was. If I was to give up softball, who would I be or become?

Today I can now tell you that my identity isn’t from the world. It comes from above and the Lord overflows in my life daily! His loving presence reminds me daily that my worth is not defined from the sport I play. This is something I get to do, not who I am. What a joy it is to be able to complete and play the sport I’ve loved since I was a child.

During this week I am reminded that we are children of a loving and forgiving father!!! He loves us so much and will always be with us through every step of our lives. He never says we won’t go through difficult seasons, but he does tell us we will never be alone. Something difficult right now does not determine how strong of a person or athlete you are. Never forget where your identity comes from!!! Find joy in the blessings from what our sports has provided us💚
