Team Second is a faith-based community for college athletes focused on Christian leadership, discipleship, personal testimony, and campus impact.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The map is mapping. 📍

How cool is it to have friends from coast to coast?

With athletes heading back to school in about a month, now is the time to pray for what God wants to do on their teams, campuses, fields, courts, tracks, and rinks.

Pick one team, school, or athlete on the map and pray for them this week. Pray for boldness, open doors, real community, and teammates who are ready to hear about Jesus.

Drop who you’re praying for in the comments so we can pray with you. 👇

Promise this one is worth the watch.

If you’ve ever wondered what Team Second actually is, this is the heart behind it:

Athletes living second.
Teams becoming the family of God.
Simple tools to help students share Jesus and make disciples right where God has placed them.

Not complicated. Not flashy. Just athletes saying yes to Jesus and inviting others to do the same.

Watch this one all the way through - and send it to someone who needs to know about Team Second.

What’s a simple way to share the Gospel? Check this out!

Team Second isn’t just a group of athletes who have sharing Christ in common.

It’s a movement of athletes being trained to help other athletes do the same.

We want to see students equipped with simple, practical tools to share the gospel, make disciples, and live second right where God has placed them.

Swipe through to learn one of the tools we use to share the gospel: the 3 Circles.

Message us for more info on how to get involved.

Athletes know what it feels like to chase something.

The starting spot.
The scholarship.
The championship.
The comeback.
The approval.

But this line stops us every time:

“If I had it all, but I didn’t have You, Lord, did I have anything at all?”

Because the goal was never just to win.
It was to know Jesus, follow Him, and help others know Him too.

Athletes, your sport is a gift - and your team is a place where the hope of Jesus can be shared.

We love getting to celebrate moments like this. 🌊

Baptism is such a powerful reminder that Jesus changes lives - not just in stories we hear, but in our own lives too.

So as we celebrate, take a second to think about your own story.

Where has Jesus changed you?
Who are you praying will experience that same hope?
Who needs to know that new life in Christ is real?

Drop a 🙏 for someone you’re praying for today.

Got 15 seconds?

In just a few seconds, someone can hear what Jesus has done in your life - and that small moment could be the reminder, encouragement, or invitation they needed.

So here’s your challenge: share your testimony. Keep it simple. Tell us what Jesus has done, where He met you, or how He’s changed your life.

Post it on your stories, tag us, and challenge someone else to do the same. 🙌

Team Second on campus lately: 👀

Prayer days.
3/3rds groups.
Bible studies.
Baptism convos.
Athletes showing up, saying yes, and bringing their teammates with them.

And somehow… this is still just the beginning.

God is moving across campuses, locker rooms, teams, and group chats - and we’re here for all of it.

Tag us in what God is doing on your campus. We want to see it. 🙌

Coach Callie’s advice is the kind every athlete needs to hear before the season gets loud.

Because sports can make it easy to measure yourself by what changes - the scoreboard, the lineup, the minutes, the recognition, the outcome.

But Jesus gives you an identity that doesn’t shift with your performance.

Athletes, compete hard. Be faithful. Give your best.

But don’t build your worth on something temporary when Christ has already made it secure.

Save this for the days you need the reminder.

The sound of a crowd cheering is great.

But the sound of worship?
The sound of prayer?
The sound of athletes seeking Jesus together?

This is what our souls need.

More than applause, more than recognition, more than the noise of the game - we’re after the presence of Jesus.

God is already moving through this 3/3rds group at ACU, and we’re celebrating the way He has brought these athletes together in this place, at this time, for a purpose.

It is clear that He is at work, and we’re praying this group would become a place of boldness.

Pray that what happens in the room wouldn’t stay in the room. Pray that the conversations, Scripture, prayer, and obedience would spread across campus, into other athletic teams, and throughout their own team.

Drop a 🙏 if you’re praying with us.

It’s only the beginning of the semester, and God is already moving across campuses. 🙌

Athletes are gathering, praying, opening the Word, sharing meals, having real conversations, and choosing to live second right where He has placed them.

These moments may look simple, but we believe they matter - because teams, campuses, and communities can change when students say yes to Jesus.

If this is happening on your campus too, tag us. We want to see it, celebrate it, and pray with you.
