ANFIBIA 2026/2027 has officially begun! ✨ 17 artists • 9 countries • countless artistic languages • one shared journey! 🌍 From contemporary dance, theatre and physical performance to circus arts, acrobatics, music, visual arts, dramaturgy and beyond — our new ANFIBIA participants bring an incredible mix of backgrounds, experiences and creative perspectives. And we can already feel the energy! 🔥 A glimpse into our very first lesson: Physical Dramaturgy with Carlo Massari, Artistic Director of ANFIBIA, where our artists began exploring movement, expression, connection and the endless possibilities of creating together. We’re so happy to welcome all these curious minds and creative spirits into a space where different disciplines meet, boundaries are challenged, and new artistic languages can emerge. Here’s to a wonderful year of experimentation, collaboration, discoveries and artistic growth! This is only the beginning. So much more to explore, create and share! 💫 #anfibia #MultidisciplinaryProgram #PerformingArts #physicaldramaturgy

This EP started with "Core". Born around the same time as "Nothing on Earth", they both lean into fantasy, or derealization, as a way to tell my stories. The rest of the EP represents my growing interest towards popular productions instead of abstract ones, though traces remain. The overarching theme of "Not Far Beneath the Surface" is exhaustion. It can have many forms, like spite in "Going With It", aggression in "Anger", grief in "I'm Here Now" and defeat in "Core", forms that all connect to the same feeling. The EP was a challenge I took as a producer and mixing engineer about what I could pull off. There's dancehall influence in "Anger", Justin Timberlake and Olga Myko influence in "Going With it", cinematic production in "I'm Here Now" and inspiration taken from Tame Impala's Posthumous Forgiveness into "Core". Vocalists I learned from were Cassyette and Faouzia.
