Pure magic 🐬

The Red Sea is home to several dolphin species, including spinner dolphins and Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins. Seeing them in the wild is already incredible… but watching two young dolphins swimming alongside their mother was something truly special.

Sanne and I were so happy and honestly, a little emotional, to swim alongside them. Trying to film them with the camera was a real workout, though! 😂🐬🎥

A giant underwater ⚓

On April 11, 1991, the MT Haven, a 334-meter VLCC tanker carrying around 144,000 tonnes of crude oil, suffered a series of explosions while anchored off Genoa. The fire burned for days before the remaining section of the ship sank near Arenzano on April 14.

Today, seeing the Haven underwater is hard to comprehend. Its proportions are absolutely enormous, standing next to this wreck makes you realize just how massive this ship really was 🌊

From a burning supertanker to a giant resting on the seabed. A spectacular and haunting piece of maritime history.

Meet the new SeaTouch 6 Pro 📲

Sanne is unboxing the new SeaTouch 6 Pro and its new Dome Lens by @divevolk. Everything is incredibly easy to set up, including the red filter.

The grip feels much better than previous models, especially for people like me who often use it with just one hand. The membrane is also much more sensitive and comfortable to use.

I’m really happy to be able to test it and use it on a daily basis! 😃

Machines abandoned underwater in an old mine in Germany 🇩🇪

Felicitas was once a working slate mine, with tunnels and chambers cut deep into the rock. After the mine closed and the pumps stopped, groundwater slowly flooded the system, leaving machinery, mine carts, rails and tools behind.

Today, more than 3 km of permanent guideline runs through the mine, with passages reaching around 45 metres deep in water that stays close to 8°C.

Some sections are large and open, while others are much tighter and still show clear traces of the mining work that once took place here.

Diving through it feels like entering a hidden part of Germany’s industrial history that has simply been left underwater.

Meet the species 🤔

A rare species of diver, easily identified by its oversized camera housing and its mysterious obsession with filming things underwater 🥲

It spends an impressive amount of money just to breathe beneath the surface… and will happily spend hours chasing the perfect shot 🤷🏽‍♂️

And when it finally encounters a Napoleon wrasse? Completely worth it! 😂📸
