You CAN learn an old dog new tricks! In the end of 2025 my disc golf flame was reignited, and I started structuring practing and training again. I set goals for the 2026 season, and found inner motivation. But I also needed some accountability and inspiration, which lead me to @joonas_merela and @nickkrush.dgandfit Joonas gave me structure and exercises to improve and create a foundation to build on, improving my practice and my overall game. Through his course, I improved towards my 12th season and I felt ready. In March I felt ready but wanted to elevate my game even further, and got Nick as a backhand trainer. He focused more on the execution of the throw, dissecting every move to improve and gain speed and distance in my game. By the end of the 2025 season, I could comfortably throw max distance 100 meter. I got a @tech_disc to better understand the results of working on my form. The result has been inspiring. My first test showed me at an average of 10 backhand throws, I was at 87,3 km/h with a max of 90,4 km/h. Through small changes, filming myself and structured training, last week I had an average of 102,1 km/h with a max of 106,3 km/h. An increase of 17% on average, which has translated to me throwing 115-120 m golf lines on the course. Working on my form through the season - with a brand new bag! I am not gonna lie - after so many years I thought I had tried it all and I had reached my peak. Now I know that is not true and that through dedication and belief in myself, I have much more in the tank. With this knowledge and determination, I go into the off-season more motivated than ever, with the great help of Joonas and Nick behind me. All I got to say is that this dog is looking for more new tricks this winter 😉 #discgolf #frisbeegolfnorge #frisbeegolf

Almost 6 months into Disc Golf. I'm one of those people that like to geek out and train, I have not been geeking out, doing any form work for quite some time. I was throwing around 65-69mph effortless few months but now struggle to hit 65mph. Albeit few months go I wasn't very accurate compared to now. Goal is to hit 70mph hopefully by next season despite snowboard season around the corner . . . . . . . #discgolf #discgolflife #discgolfeveryday #formcheck #growthesport

How accurate is Chat GPT in Disc Golf ?? 🖥️ My honest opinion is that it’s actually fairly accurate. I have no legitimate measurements for these throws but knowing my standard power throw arm speed, and the perceived effort of each throw I’m led to believe these numbers are somewhat decent ✅ To fully test if these numbers are true I may need in invest in an @tech_disc for a 100% exact measurement 📈 Last time I used a TechDisc was almost a year ago, I was consistently hitting 78-79mph but I felt uncomfortable to send one at 100% power due to a downhill run-up without much grip, and into a net right in front of me on an undesired power/distance line. Doing this in open space with my @idiosports Syncrasy V2’s gave me so much more confidence to hit a 360 run-up with decent intensity (6 month owners review on the Idio’s coming soon 👀). I haven’t thrown a 360 backhand in a while and as much as I can and want to turn even faster I feel like I’d have limited control over the shot, but I believe I found a good speed/control combination here. I’ve thrown 360’s in many different shoes and the rotational grip is nowhere near as flawless as the Syncrasy’s. I’ve slipped many times throwing 360’s off grass but I wasn’t even close to slipping over in this session 👟 Also, here are some conversions from MPH to KM/H Throw 1: 76.5mph (123.1km/h) 🐌 Throw 2: 82.5mph (132.8km/h) 🚘 Throw 3: 84.5mph (136.0km/h) 🏎️🔥 Throw 4: 80.0mph (128.7km/h) 🛻 Disclaimer: The poor quality is due to filming about 15m back of the throwing line at 1x zoom then zooming in whilst editing. I’m rather surprised how loud the “snap” noise is from so far away (it must have been quite loud 😅). I’d be intrigued to see how loud it would be with mics 🎤 Should I get a TechDisc?
