Finally getting a stoplight…

It’s been scheduled for installation for about 10 years at the corner of Mint Street and Summit Avenue, in front of @booneoakley I have witnessed many many accidents here over the years.

Getting a stoplight here is the high of my day. 10/7/26

Thank you to everyone who joined us this morning to celebrate the next chapter of @samaritanhousenc! We’re so grateful to our Board Member Paresh Mutha, Samaritan House Board Chair Corri Smith, and our President & CEO Anthony Jones for sharing their words, and it meant the world to have Samaritan House founders Ruth Woodend and Freda Schlaman with us to see their legacy continue.

Next up, we’ll put the finishing touches on the home and our first eight residents will move in later this month. We can’t wait to see them grow here!

Is this best pastrami sandwich ever?

I think so! I found it at @lalimasangucheria in Southend. @baruc_yafte recommended it to me and it was delicious! He also dropped a few words of wisdom!

Eating at La Lima was the high of my day.

New idea for @mydeanslist and I’d love your help 👀🩵

Asheville’s Flood Collection built a card deck 🃏 spotlighting 54 local artists hit by Hurricane Helene, ~80% of the River Arts District gone, 600 artists lost their studios overnight.

I want to do a CLT version (since I’m also obsessed with cards and solitaire) that could benefit a different local nonprofit every month featuring local mission-based businesses/restaurants and/or artists, their work, their handles, their story. that would also be part of my new Merch + giveaway line 👕🧢

If you like the idea or have feedback, let me know! Who should make the deck? Drop names below 👇

We’re launching a newsletter🚀 that has nothing to do with paint!

Craftwork was built on one idea: Painting a home is a craft, not a task. That standard for detail is what led us to “Master of the Craft” - a series spotlighting people across the Carolinas who are exceptional at what they do. Think Chef, Artists, Athletes & Entrepreneurs.

First issue is already out! Don’t miss the upcoming ones!

Well, well, well… 🌊. Every week in The Wave (betonthewave.com) we’re telling real stories of people out here doing their thing. How they’re betting on themselves. Selfie-based. Real. How we actually talk. ANY WAVE MEMBER CAN SUBMIT ONE. @thequeencitystyle, Whitley Adkins, is this week’s Weekly Ripple spotlight. I’m posting a portion… but in a cool surprise to me, she posted the full video on her page. Watch her, there.

A Royal Flush?

Played a little video poker today with my brother-in-law Rob at @riverscasinoportsmouth today. We had 4 to a Royal Flush and all we needed was a Jack of Clubs…

So we started chanting “Jack Tilley, Jack Tilley, Jack Tilley…”
