In the mountains 🏔🏃🏽‍♂️⛷🚴‍♂️⛺️ Pitkin County Commissioner | Aspen, CO

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

🗳️ Pitkin County, election season is here!

Keep an eye on your mailbox—ballots for the November 3 election should be arriving soon!

Ted Mahon, my partner of 26 years, is running for Pitkin County Commissioner, District 2. Over those years, I’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand his character, his leadership, and his deep connection to this community.

We both care enormously about the future of this extraordinary place we call home—and what it means to make Pitkin County a place where people can live, work, raise a family, and grow old.

Make your voice heard! Vote @tedmahon! Fill out your ballot, return it early, and make sure your vote is counted.

Election Day: Tuesday, November 3, 2026

Celebrating a couple of important birthdays at the new Emmelyn Hut! Happy Birthday, Mom & Dad! Big hikes, puzzles, sunsets, games and cake! Feeling especially grateful for Colorado’s 10th Mountain hut system, and for another very special family weekend in the high country. ❤️🏔️

Some birthdays I like to go big 💥 and some are better suited for a little less fanfare. 🧘‍♀️ Here’s to always finding the right balance. ⚖️ Happy Virgo Season. ♍️

Aspen is getting a new airport. At least, it’ll feel that way. Fresh runway and terminal coming over the next few years. We officially broke ground on the Airport Modernization Project on Wednesday. The airport will be closed from April 4-Nov 19, 2027, so that’ll be a challenge (not sure where to park my private jet), but I’d say worth it in the end.

Into the great white yonder! Nice to find cold, snowy conditions in here Austria 🇦🇹 And always fun to have a shake out ski day in a new ski resort before launching into a five-day ski traverse. Seems like a fitting place to celebrate the life of Dick Jackson. Our first ski traverse in Alps was over 20 years ago with him! And he’s been inspiring us ever since 💫🙏✨🏔️❄️🎿🇦🇹 #alps #silvretta #skitraverse #huts #ishcgl @stio @tedmahon @kastle_usa
