Emmelyn Hut, the newest addition to the @10thmtnhuts offerings- south of Ski Cooper between Leadville and Tennessee Pass, sleeps 10 very comfortably, about a 4 mile approach will get you there, at around 11,000 feet... hard not to score this one very high for views, floor plan, all the little details that matter. Because I have only one opponent in the race, there is no primary election for this seat. You never know what you might find walking around Aspen Mountain after the snow melts. I came across this on Saturday. This old, broken ski school name tag really caught me by surprise, and it brought forth a lot of thoughts about a lot of things- life, loss, community, the passing of time and making the most of it... hard to believe it's been as long as it has since Sam was around.
