Artist Residency
Tee Ken Ng

@teekenng is a director, animator and video artist based in Perth.

His signature visual style reflects an openly inquisitive spirit, marked by warmth and humour.

An innovator and collaborator, Tee Ken transforms optical illusions and practical effects into award-winning works that bridge the digital and the tangible.

On the island, Tee Ken continues his childlike play. Improvising as he goes, the place became his canvas and the horizon as his guide.

A zoetrope of found objects, blue sky inside the hut, projection mapping on a tree then on thrown sand, a floating chair on the roof.

Life becomes a moving image — a play on perspective and transparency.
