We might not have the best behaved dog out there, but I think we have one of the prettiest 😂😍

Eros modeling some leashes and collars for me on a little walk around the lake! After saying goodbye to Thanos last year, we pretty much stopped going on hikes and walks. Thanos demanded his activities (with consequences if we did not comply) while Eros is easy to let sit.

We marveled in the ease of single dog parenting for a bit, but then it was almost hard to get out with only one dog. I miss my little menace! But we decided we’re going to make an effort to get this boy out more consistently - he desperately needs the experiences of being in public spaces after a long break 😅

And we have a bunch of things to photograph so here we are! Isn’t he a great model?

A Horse Girl wedding to end all horse girl weddings!!! Just the bride, groom, parents and the animals. This beautiful elopement style wedding was one I was so happy to be a part of. I’ve photographed Rachel and her horses several times and was beyond honored to come back for this special day. Rachel and Brian have already carved out a wonderful life for themselves together and I’m so excited for them for all their future happiness!

Today was a day we laughed at ourselves and the life we have created. And the gradual transition to being more and more country 😄

Eros has been with us for a full year now, and while Lyra still likes to mess with him they have a very amicable relationship now. They spent a long time rolling around in the grass next to each other today too 😂

Thanks @raemei for a wonderful photoshoot! And thanks @tekkie.brian for participating! I don’t typically do human sessions in the pasture but this was a fun photo shoot idea that Rachel and Brian brought to life. Trubee got right to work helping me! His favorite thing ever is the tuning forks, especially the 144 hrz. It’s hard to say if Trubee is intentionally helping with the healing process or if he is just enjoying the good vibes himself. He is not trained in any equine assisted therapies, but horses have a way of just knowing what we need and selflessly giving. They are truly amazing and I am humbled and grateful to be able to work with them often 🥰🙏🏼💫🐉🪽

Here’s the full story of my dreamy, horsey, engagement.

Brian is a bit of a perfectionist, and wanted to ensure the most magical experience possible while ensuring that something surprised me. So, not only did he carefully guide me towards this beach adventure without me growing suspicious, but he also created a backup surprise! He made the most adorable video of himself asking all our animals about proposing to me, and showed that to me on the beach as well. Unfortunately, the drone he was flying to capture the proposal stopped recording so he is really sad about that, but he also had our neighbor @apropos_studios in on the plan to photograph the whole thing! So we have everything documented in the most special way, at one of my favorite places. AND we still managed to get some great photos of my bright berry red duster from @outbacktradingco too!

Brian and I met during the pandemic. He walked into my chaotic life like it was no big deal, and embraced an entirely new lifestyle because of me and the animals I came with. The way he incorporated all of them in this proposal made it so much better, and highlights how easily he opened his heart to all of them from the start.

Especially Tucker, who he knew needed to be directly involved. Tucker was my first true love, the horse who has stood with me through every single thing over the last 17 years. And as Brian said, Tucker and I have been together so long, it will be a long while before he can catch up. So of course, it is only fitting that he asked to marry me while I was with my trusty steed. I only wish my golden pup could have been here still too, but I know he approves & appreciates all the love and effort that Brian contributes to our lives every single day.

I never imagined such a perfect partner to take on life with, I love you @tekkie.brian 💕

Brian managed to completely surprise me with a proposal on the beach while I was riding with Tucker. I don’t know how I didn’t see this coming! Brian said he knew he needed to include Tucker because he and I have been together so long, it would be a long while before he could catch up. 🥹

I truly thought he was joking until he pulled out the ring, and I looked up to realize @apropos_studios was in the distance taking photos of us.

Tucker completely understood his assignment, and was an absolute superstar participating in making this day special. Brian made an entire video on how he asked all the animals about how they felt about him asking me to marry him. He showed it to me on the beach and it was the most incredible feeling to realize just how much planning he put into this whole experience. Go take a look on his page, it’s adorable 🥰😭🥹

Also Tucker was SO relaxed at the beach, I was worried he would be amped up to run but he was in the mood to relax, stand in the waves and people watch. I loveeeee the trotting picture of him! 😍

In between the gray and gloom of California weather, I had the privilege of capturing a proposal between these two amazing individuals and one very impressive horse named Tucker.
