First Half Marathon | Sub 2hr ✔️ Yeah didn’t think that was on 2024s bingo cards but God has a funny way of putting you in situations you would have never imagined.

Started this year having never run further than 3K

Fast forward to the beginning of 2024 and decided I wanted set myself a target of 5K as I heard that’s the “entry level” distance for runners and managed to complete it in a whopping time of 35Mins! (with multiple stops in between) Thought, nah this long distance thing isn’t for me.

My boy @dan._.abu invited me down to a Tuesday track session in March and I’ve never looked back since. The community, the friendliness and openness I got from day 1, from everyone involved made me feel like I was right where I needed to be. It’s a family!

@manni_o THE GOAT! greeted me like we’d known each other for years and it’s just a testament to the character of the man. Can’t thank you enough, “Big Half are you sure bro? I haven’t been doing this thing for a month?”
“We’re gonna get you ready for September” famous last words and here we are!

If I could write a book about overcoming mental and physical adversity over the last year I could be here all day, from broken shoulders, to receiving probably the biggest health setback of my life a week before the race, yesterday was a testament to what this Life of AP is just about. In the midst of the war, you gotta Always Push, Achieve Potential, with an Authentic Pursuit!

My bro @paid.sportif, from year 10 to running half marathons together, who woulda thought 😂. We’re just getting started!

Can’t not thank my community! My family and friends appreciate you lot more than you know! Seeing everyone on that bend in the cheer zone is a lifetime core memory ❤️

To my Queen, biggest supporter in my corner the one and only @lexuscrystal can’t thank you enough for being my rock in probably the most difficult year of my life health wise! Stood beside me, tall and solid. Love you 🤞🏾❤️
