Today I opened the temple to the Venus Retrograde Temple & a 40 Day Practice to re-envision beauty in the world:

“The more you see beauty ~ the more beautiful you are. Beauty will come with unity & surrender. This makes you a beautiful person, to sit in true community. Because it means that someone else can come to you & you can merge with them. Which is what everyone wants all the time, they just want to merge. They want to be received. They just want to know somebody else sees them. Everyone can come true community because the door is open. This is not personal.” ~ Guru Rattana 🤍

I am also reading END TIME FASCISM by Naomi Klein & Astra Taylor 🔥

These things can co-exist. We are together. Our prayers & actions can support what is happening & what is coming next.

Come sit with us in the morning. Right here on IG Live at 7 am EST #40daypractice #VenusRetrograde #lovewins #freepalestine🇵🇸

Can’t believe this wonderful experience ended a whole week ago!

So honored to have been selected to participate in SPARK Reproductive Justice Organization’s F.Y.R.E Camp 2026: Stand-Up, Clap Back!

I was able to participate in a 4 day camp rooted in a radical perspective of reproductive justice. We had deep political education and discussions throughout the camp. I learned about the dangers of fake abortion clinics, the importance LGBTQIA liberation in connection to bodily autonomy, radical parenting, disruption of gender constructs, cultural work & propaganda, and where the decriminalization of sex work falls in working class solidarity. We also took time for yoga, care/rest, and sound baths in the process.

Through this experience me and the other campers built stand-up sets that focused on “punching up” in comedy rather than “punching down” on marginalized groups which comedy is historically known to do. It was a joy to meet and have conversations with so many beautiful souls and watch them kill their stand-up sets!

This experience was so important to me as a cultural worker and community organizer. Made me even clearer on how radically understanding gender, sexuality, and identity is so important in the larger movement towards Black Liberation!
I stepped away from stand up a few years ago because as I became clearer on my identity as a cultural worker and Pan-African Socialist, I got more unclear on where comedy in such a misogynistic space would fit in my life. This experience definitely showed me where I fit. Shoutout to my man and big sis for their support! Shoutout to my fellow campers for their courage! Shoutout to SPARK for such a well organized experience! 🔥🔥🔥
