Don’t leak it out sideways.

In Demidov’s work there’s a practice called preserving — I learned it from Andrei Malaev-Babel. The idea: don’t expel all your creative energy. Save it.

Josephine Lauer took it further — your sexual energy and your creative energy are the same sacred life force. Feel it, contain it, channel it on purpose.

After opening night, everyone’s ready to party it all away. Demidov said: no. That’s your energy for the next show. Go home. Sleep.

A note from an inspired place.

Actively walking in the path of removing shame, embarrassment, punishment and self sabotage from my conscious awareness and field.

Actively walking in community that is up-lifting, gracious, organized and blissful chaos.

Actively acknowledging and owning my f&ck ups and failures, mis-handlings, self sabotage and burnt bridges.

Panamá experienced a 7-7.5 earthquake today. A dear beloved of mine notified, I wouldn’t of had any idea as I have been deeply immersed in community here in Chicago. When I spoke to my family, I heard their fear, the subtle fear and something really clicked in me. What if they were all gone? What if they didn’t get to experience me as my authentic truth?

The possibility of death, death itself, injuries, natural disasters… they wake something up in us… I choose to take this as a moment to surrender fear and confess my love to my path, to being in service to humanity - we stand together, with a little help and a lot of love, we can overcome.

I apologize to those that I harmed or allowed to harm me. I recognize that I didn’t show up at times or honor my word or my actions didn’t match my words.

Today I take a step towards a new truth, my most honest reality, here with you.

I am here.
I choose to be here, now.

I’ve been heartbroken

I’ve been abandoned & betrayed
I’ve been surrendered to the system
I’ve been selected as a target to be groomed & conditioned by the darkness

All out of false love, lust & desire known to mankind to possess & control innocence, beauty & light

I have also been raised by my stoic & unapologetic Mother Land ~ Russia

I’ve been Nurtured by the forest
Blanketed by dust
Nourished by wild mushrooms & swamp berries
Watered & hydrated by rain, rivers & lakes

When I am at my hardest times ~ I know to return to HER ~ Mother Earth.

To the forest.
To the water.
To the dirt beneath my feet.

There are places within us that cannot be reached by pretending the darkness never existed.

We descend.

We meet what has been abandoned.

We reclaim the pieces of ourselves that were buried, forgotten, conditioned or taken from us.

And somewhere in that descent ~ beneath all the stories, identities, wounds & conditioning ~ there is something that was never destroyed.

The Divine Spark.

The part of us that remembers.

The part that existed before the conditioning.
Before we were told who to be.
Before we learned to abandon pieces of ourselves in order to belong.

I have learned that my descent was never separate from my remembrance.

The places I was afraid to enter became the places where I found pieces of myself waiting for me.

Not to remain in the darkness ~
but to bring what had been hidden back into the light.

To remember.

To return.

To become more fully embodied in who I came here to be…

I’m a recovering hyper-independent

I used to operate under the mantra, “me against the world” - completely self-sufficient. Sneering at the idea of needing anyone. Scoffing at the prospect of asking or accepting help of any kind.

This is hyper-independence. And it’s not cute.

What l’ve learned: Independence doesn’t mean you don’t need people. We all need other humans in our lives, to love, grow, and share together.

Community gives you all the above AND also a support system. Connection to celebrate and grow with. In expansive community, each person is fully themselves and loved unconditionally.
