What if the thing you keep calling a luxury is actually part of your healing?

I saw Hannah, @templewellnesscollective yesterday and I’m still thinking about how many of us have been conditioned to see bodywork as something frivolous.

Something we’ll do “when there’s time” or “when there’s extra money.” Something we feel a little guilty about.

But therapeutic massage, the real kind, with someone who understands the body, isn’t a treat. It’s a tool.

It moves lymph. It calms an overworked nervous system.

It releases fascia that has been gripping for protection.

It reduces inflammation.

It helps your body remember it’s safe.

And for those of us who have been through diagnosis, treatment, surgery, or just years of stress, that matters more than I can say.

Bubble baths are lovely, I’m not knocking them.

But this is different.

This is real therapy for a body that has carried real things.

Hannah, has been such a gift to me. If you’ve been putting this kind of care off, take this as your sign.

You are worth this. 💖

January Book Club 2025 #wicked It was too windy to be outside, so we brought it inside. It was loud, and 100 conversations happening at once. I felt like I was back at my childhood dinner table trying to get a word in. Lots of laughs and good memories! #bookclub #windynight #crazytown
