Befriending with books is still kind of new for me.
Lately, I’ve been realizing that reading gives me way more calm and space than scrolling the phone. Maybe that’s why I started feeling drawn to reading-together activities, something people have been doing in many places, whether they come to discuss, to connect, or simply to sit quietly with their own books. I’d seen it around for a while, but never actually joined one myself.

That curiosity led me to a book club in Bogor and to connect with @temubookbuddy through kak @munaffajrin, who warmly welcomed me for a small collaboration. Last weekend became my very first time attending a book club session, held in a cozy, homey library at @rb.anjangsana 🏡

We spent the afternoon reading side by side, exchanging thoughts, and closed the session with a mini reflective note activity facilitated by @treatmeright.co. Simple, slow, and quietly intimate filled with good reading time, meaningful conversations, and writing cute little notes for one another.

So many beautiful moments were captured that day, perfectly documented by kak @ody.doc. Oh! Not to forget the on-the-spot poetry by @leastaction_poetry truly impressive. Thank you so much everyone 🫶

So grateful for this encounter. Never imagined I’d be joining a book club, @temubookbuddy 📚✨

But I enjoyed every bit of it, new friends, silent reading with a latte & brownies, shared insights, cutie stickers merch from @lolomadethese, and even on-the-spot poetry making by @leastaction_poetry (walaupun aku nggak sempat bikin karena keburu pulang 🥲).

Can’t wait for the next volume!
