Vol. 4 was sooo FUN! 💫
Here’s a recap of our event in collaboration with @treatmeright.co

But first, thanks to @rb.anjangsana for the space and @lolomadethese for the cute stickers! 🌳🔖

Topics that we discussed:

➡️ Fajrin shared about neurodiversity and the common misconception of ADHD.
➡️ Reno & Puji shared about how each trauma and inner wound shape who we are now.
➡️ Dina shared a fiction that will soon make it to the big screen!
➡️ Didit shared with us that today’s society—with more advanced technology—doesn’t necessarily feel happier than in the previous era.
➡️ Reia reminded us that almost everything in our life, including language, is very political.
➡️ Raihan told us that sometimes the one that loves us the most is also the one that gave us the deepest wound.
➡️ Angga took us through the short history of tractors in Ukrainian which surprisingly has an interesting plot.
➡️ then Riris shared her experience in Papua, bagaimana suku-suku di sana mempraktikkan perang sehat yang sebetulnya adalah bagian dari adat yang tidak perlu dikhawatirkan.
➡️ Sekar showed us that young bloods are still into history, be it in fiction or non-fiction.
➡️ Ichak told us that women of all ages are still looked down upon by society.
➡️ Ina just found the benefit of reading books for her own mental and she came with the prompt to check in on ourselves!
➡️ Bunga shared her experience with Temu Book Buddy and was feeling grateful to be among us.

🌳 @rb.anjangsana is a house-turned-library with interesting book collection located in one of the most serene places in Bogor. They have this gnarly backyard that will immerse readers with books and sense of nature.

Join us as we intentionally create a moment to pause—read together, unwind, and exchange thoughts with people from various backgrounds!

Who would’ve thought picture books could offer so many lessons for us as adults! 💫 that’s what happened in TBB Vol. 3: Childhood theme.

It was a fun day filled with lots of insights at Halaman Nyala. 3,5 hours passed by so quickly. 😄

Thank you for coming to Temu Book Buddy Vol. 3, Didit & Rezky, who came all the way from Tambun and Kebayoran. Raihan, for the great energy. Cila with the coolest jacket of the day. And most importantly Alnurul for being a good home owner and for taking us through the process of making picture books.

Anyway, ini acara terakhir Temu Book Buddy di 2025 with more to come in 2026 (Kalau ga capek.)

Temu Book Buddy Vol. 2 was a blast! 💥
So happy to see some familiar faces along with the new ones.

Still with the same intimate setting. Lots of laughter and shared knowledge. Couldn’t be more grateful to be surrounded by these kind of people.

We discussed about various topics from how a story about Greek Mythology could still feel relevant in our era, the little-known thinking bias, to how human who don’t have lactose intolerant are considered “mutant”.

Accompanying us is @leastaction_poetry with Puisi On The Spot using the vintage typewriter. 📝

As usual we got bookish merch from @lolomadethese. 💫 And none of these would be possible without the support from @stucocoffee as the homeowner. 🍃
