Meaningful spaces. Created together. | Anna Morris

Say 👋🏼 to Kayla! Kayla has been helping me behind the scenes for several months. As a senior in the @ugafacs Furnishings & Interiors program (my Alma Mater!), she is really taking initiative to gain hands on experience and greatly contributing to our current projects by assisting with everything from drawings and design boards to creating spreadsheets, sorting samples, joining me on site visits, and even organizing a student NKBA house tour of my personal home renovation. Thankful to have her talent and go-getter attitude on my team this year! #tenfourhome #meaningfulspaces #createdtogether

Hi, I’m Anna, owner and designer behind TenFour Home. As we continue to celebrate 10 YEARS, it seems fitting to reintroduce myself. As a wife and mom, I love that this career allows me to create spaces for individuals and families in all stages of life. Sometimes I am involved from the very earliest phases of planning and construction, while other projects only involve furnishings and finishing touches or even just a one time consultation to work through ideas and details for part of a project. I love working through functional needs to create personalized spaces that reflect the people living in them and best meet their specific needs. Working on teams with GCs, subs, trades, and vendors is always a fun way to problem solve and learn something new. Ten years in, I wouldn’t trade the adventures that this business has brought into my day to day life. Give a 👋🏼 if we’ve met or worked together over the years! #tenfourhome #meaningfulspaces #ceatedtogether

This month, we celebrate 10 YEARS of TenFour Home! What a ride it has been: Athens ➡️ Charlotte ➡️ Athens, three kids added to the mix, personal renovations, 1-hour consultations to full scope renovations and new construction. So much learning and fun all along the way! Thank you to all who have entrusted me with your spaces and supported this business through the years. Here’s to many more adventures 🥂

A study in sight lines, redefining spaces for improved function and flow, moving through space, and creating elements that draw people from one room to the next. These are all things I like to explore when reworking floor plans for a renovation. Walk with me here as we take a peek at the Dining Room ➡️ Study/Butlers Pantry ➡️ Living Room renovation. #tenfourhome #meaningfulspaces #createdtogether #renovation #spaceplanning

Loved giving this old building new life as the @corcoranclassicliving Watkinsville Office. We found so many cool details hiding under layers of paneling, carpet, and drop ceilings. We decided to cover a few areas but left many exposed to reveal the story of the space over time. Always fun to work with @sarahellisrealtor @tomelliscustomhomes and their talented teams! #tenfourhome #meaningfulspaces #createdtogether #renovation

Simple elegance for this Guest Bathroom in a whole home renovation. From cabinetry design to plumbing, tile, and lighting selections, this space was gutted and given a fresh start. And in a full circle turn of events, I am now working on the new home of a frequent guest of this space 🤍 #tenfourhome #meaningfulspaces #createdtogether #bathroomrenovation

Custom Built Ins for this whole home renovation. This Living Room ties in seamlessly with the adjacent Kitchen, providing great flow for entertaining and a moody, relaxed vibe for this family of four. With many great pieces collected over time, all they needed in this room was a beautiful backdrop to give these special accessories a place to shine. #tenfourhome #meaningfulspaces #createdtogether #renovation

“When are you going to share more about your personal renovation??” To be honest, it’s taken almost a year to recover. It’s been a long, slow process. This time last year, I quit sharing. I was burned out: out of fun things to share, unenthusiastic, passing the original move in date one day (or month) at a time, way over budget, just plain tired. But…we made it, and we love it. And we are still friends with all parties involved (not always the case!). We’ve put things on the walls, we’ve shuffled furniture around, and layered in many meaningful pieces. And one day soon…I’ll share more. As with any old, wonky house, we still have a list of future projects and small problems to tease out. For now, we host community group, neighbors, and college students. It’s a revolving door of friends and family and a few contractors here and there. This is my favorite walk to take multiple times every day. Old and new. Us and them. Exposed and layered. Storied and adding stories by the day. Feeling thankful. #tenfourhome #meaningfulspaces #createdtogether #renovation

Site Visits: When many important details are worked out with homeowners, vendors and/or contractors in the space. Currently: two fireplace remodels, paneling details for a dining room refresh, and reviewing proportions and trim details on new dormer gables. Having an Interior Designer involved throughout the process can help prevent, identify, and/or problem solve the challenges that undoubtedly arise during the construction process. #tenfourhome #meaningfulspaces #createdtogether #renovation

Cheers to cooler, cozier Fall days ahead! This Primary Bedroom transformation was a fun one. I initially walked into the space and wondered why the bed was on the short wall. Turns out the homeowners just put it where the previous family had it and never considered another option. Sometimes another perspective on something you’ve just gotten used to over time is a game changer. Flipping the bed wall and using the existing rug as a launching point for adding color truly transformed this room into a cozy retreat for these busy parents. Swipe for Before ➡️ After. #tenfourhome #meaningfulspaces #createdtogether

Every project is daunting in the beginning and feels like a mess in the middle. Hang tight! The early phases of the process can actually be a lot of fun: thinking through pain points, really picking apart how you live/want to live/need to live in your space, brainstorming solutions, working outside the box. Planning and framing are the most critical phases of design. When you invest in the earliest stages, fixtures and finishes are just the icing on the cake. #tenfourhome #meaningfulspaces #createdtogether
