POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Tennessee Tina reached into the Teena Marie catalog for this rendition of “Out on a Limb.”

Originally released in 1984 during the Starchild era, the song lives in that space Lady T wrote so well: romance, surrender and vulnerability without losing musical strength.

I like seeing artists revisit records beyond the obvious hits. It keeps the deeper catalog alive and gives another generation a reason to go back and listen.

🎤🔥 @iameldebarge inspired generations, and @tennesseetina Tennessee Tina did this classic justice.

Tennessee Tina’s cover of “I Like It” captures the soul, emotion, and timeless feeling that made the original such an R&B classic. As a longtime fan of El DeBarge and DeBarge, I had to show this one some love.

She didn’t just sing the song—she connected with it.

What do y’all think? Did Tennessee Tina do the classic justice? 👇🏾🎶
