Just for fun, here is my interpretation of the theme chosen for Week 184 of the #mnd2x2x4 challenge by Karen @tenterfieldfarmhouse : FLORA & FORM in APPLE and PARAKEET.

As often, I found inspiration in the garden.

Do you like Karen's prompts? You still have time to play! The deadline is today, Sunday 11, October at Midnight CET.

🌜 “Flora and Form” in Apple and Parakeet for #mnd2x2x4w184

Adding some living form and flora to keep my inanimate forms and flora company for the latest #mnd2x2x4 challenge.

Taken when living in the Highlands at a rock pool near Laide in Wester Ross. There are gastropods and a rather large pinky coloured sea slug come to dine on the sea anemones.

I found an old journal probably my first. I thought these pages sort of suited the theme.

A little more Flora and Form in Apple and Parakeet for Karen @tenterfieldfarmhouse and Marie @marienoelledumaz #mnd2x2x4 #mnd2x2x4w184. Clockwise from top left: Red Sealing Wax Palm, Cannonball Tree, Philodendron, and Anthurium cubense. All from a visit to Foster Botanical Garden yesterday, except the anthurium, which was earlier this summer. It has gone into a rusty color now.

These colours together ! I added 3 green Scabiosa, just because I love them when they are still in bud form.

Anyway, what I really wanted to talk about is the kindness of our neighbours. Chris and Karen @tenterfieldfarmhouse are giving us bore water ( and its beautiful water ) to see us through this drought. So bloody dry. We have lots of tanks but if it’s not raining, well they can get empty very quickly. Being Spring, the flowers need water as they are pouring on the growth. I still can’t believe how lucky we are to have such great, kind and thoughtful neighbours. Thankyou so much. Xx

Also I meant to mention my new vase from Katrina @hazelbrook_cottage_antiques .
Packed thoughtfully Thankyou . X

“That flower and schnauzer place”.
