This weeks fjnine grid follows on the alphabet theme, which is the letter R, chosen by last weeks winner and guest host this week Amy @studiofourcorners.

I am still following on my photography bent and this week it is the three R's - Reflection, Radial and Rhythm.

Reflections Row - captured through glass, water, and steel
Boats in the marina Southport
Joan of Arc / Hotel Regina window mirror
Grain silos at Trundle

Radial Row - Spinning outward from a sharp central point
Sunflower macro
Galleries Lafayette dome
Dahlia macro

Rhythm Row - Built on repetition, fluid lines, and geometric perspective

Long jetty with reflections in the water (structural, vanishing-point perspective)
Pink osteospermum (tightly repeating petal patterns)
Ribbon curling underneath the balloons (fluid, repeating wave-like cadence).

Three years apart. I still remember the day we moved up to to Tenterfield permanently.

I took the first video as we were coming in to live here for the first time and a glimpse at our house build!

Another job off the list. We're finally able to show our back courtyard finished!! Paved, planted and gravelled...

Still more to do on the other side of the gate but that's for another day. Whoohoo...

You might be searching my photos for a clue for this week's challenge? It's the letter Q! Still no clue...

Q is for Quadraline (or one-quarter line) in photography.

It’s an imaginary line that divides your photo frame at the 25% or 75% mark, pushing elements closer to the edges than the standard Rule of Thirds.

Photographers use it for two main reasons:

Dramatic Landscapes: Placing the horizon at the bottom 25% line leaves a massive 75% of the frame open for a dramatic sky.

Cinematic Framing: Placing a person on a vertical quarterline creates a modern, wide-screen look with plenty of breathing room.

It is simply a grid tool used to create a more dynamic, off-center balance in your photos. I'm not sure I like it as much as the 9 grid Rule of Thirds but it was an interesting exercise and I'll keep it in mind.

It’s a long weekend here in Tenterfield, and The Garage just had its soft opening, it was impressive! They've taken over the old, long-vacant IGA/SPAR supermarket premises, and the space is absolutely perfect for it.

There’s a great setup with a cafe, plus plenty of seating both inside and out. Definitely worth checking out! ☕🚗

This week's fjnine grid is still going with the alphabet theme so we're up to P!

Im still going with the photography bent this week as I found P for PERSPECTIVE...

In photography, perspective is simply how you create a sense of depth and 3D space on a flat, 2D image. It controls how large or small objects look in relation to one another and guides the viewer's eye through your photo.

You can easily change or control perspective using three main ways -camera angle, distance and using lead in lines that draw you to a vanishing point. All these can create a sense of depth.

First row - 1. Vertical perspective.. 2 overlapping 3 Leading lines.
Second row - 4 Flat plane 5 One point 6 Two point.
Third row 7 Symmetrical 8 Foreground/Background
9 Radial perspective.

The Pink House in Tenterfield offers a delightful immersion into French flea market and farmhouse style.

Firstly I'm so sorry for the delay. Life got in the way!! I know what its like waiting at the due time for the next theme. It can be annoying !! Also sorry if I missed displaying your grids in my stories...

Thank you all for your outstanding and imaginative grids ! You made it incredibly difficult to choose a winner, but I kept coming back to Carolyn's ORANGE grid.

Carolyn perfectly balanced her orange colour theme, it wasn't overwhelming, flat, or boring. Every single photo was striking, bringing a unique mix of texture, light, and shape that kept me completely engaged. Congratulations, Carolyn!

Now its up to you. My apologies for a short week!

This week's mnd2x2x4 is Flora and Form in Apple & Parakeet. I am lucky again to cohost with @marienoelledumaz.

I was drawn to how the soft, messy beauty of nature plays against clean, solid shapes. They make an interesting mix when paired up, but they're just as photogenic entirely on their own.

This week’s letter O grid is brought to you by me, following my win last week—thanks again to Jeannine (@jeanninebee9)!

While prepping for the letter N, I fell down a photography rabbit hole and learned quite a bit.

This week, I landed on Ombre. It was a completely new concept for me, but after a dive into my photo archives, I found my nine grid.

So its the letter O and we may all learn something new from all the grids!
