Not a single victory for the freedom to read has been won by people staying home and staying silent.

Izzy is not THE only parent who has spoken out against the extreme and excessive overreach by the New Braunfels ISD school board and district admin that has resulted in the (unnecessary) aging up and removal of over 1000 library books- but she is one of the very few. And at this meeting she was the only one who showed up to speak out.

Follow Izzy’s example. Keep showing up. Keep speaking up. Even when you’re the only one.

The Rollertown Showdown isn’t just a tournament… it’s a full-blown cultural festival 🇯🇵🔥

We’ve stacked this year’s Rollertown Showdown Sumo Tournament with an incredible lineup of vendors bringing authentic flavors, unique goods, and serious energy all weekend long:
🍣 Mitsuwa Market
🔥 Weebie Takoyaki
🎨 Tenzan Studio
🍡 K Puffs Goodies
🍹 Pink Oasis (Friday only)
🌲 Old West Cedar Mill

…and when it comes to EVENT FOOD:
🍕 American Gothic Pizza
🍛 Mangoleaf Xpress
🍗 Cluck & Curry
🍔 Mueller Wagyu (recently named Best Burger in Frisco)

This is more than sumo — it’s food, culture, music, and one of the most unique experiences you’ll find anywhere.
Bring your crew. Come hungry. Stay late.

Come see the world’s most unique Sumo Wrestling event. The spectacle begins Friday and the Main Event - the tournament - is Saturday.

Real sumo. Real stakes. International wrestlers from Japan, Australia, Canada, and the USA…all drafted into East vs. West teams and each thrown into 15 full-contact bouts to decide it all.

🔥 SATURDAY, APRIL 25 — THE SHOWDOWN• Full Sumo Tournament• Live Japanese drumming shaking the grounds• Awards ceremony• A live performance from Toki, the Japanese Elvis• DJ-fueled afterparty

This is culture. This is sport. This is spectacle.

And it’s all happening in one place with FRESH LOCAL BEER in your hand and a crowd that’s fully dialed in.

📍 Rollertown Beerworks – Frisco, TX🎟️ Saturday tickets: Link in bio

You don’t get many chances to say “I was there.” This is one of them.
