We asked USPS about the missing bin later and they said they don’t put the bin out at night because the whole thing just gets full, so they just let all the packages fall on the floor. 🤔 I feel like I could come up with a couple other solutions…🤷‍♀️ Does y’all’s local USPS do this too? Is this standard practice? Not gonna lie, I’m kinda shook. We love our local USPS workers regardless. Ernie’s my favorite. He tells great stories. #usps #smallbusiness #smallartistsupport by @tenzanstudio

3rd degree grand larceny happened Saturday at @animenyc to our poor neighbor! Always hate to see theft at a con, but it’s great to see a convention center take it seriously and work with the police to bring such a favorable outcome to a crappy situation. Almost every vendor I know, ourselves included, have experienced theft at their booths, but this is the largest I’ve heard of! For my vendor/artist friends out there, what’s been your experience with theft and how has it been handled by the con? #Animenyc #animenyc2026 #javitscenter taken in Jacob Javits Center by @tenzanstudio

How is a woodblock print made? This is the middle of the process the carving.

Before the carving the most important work has to happen! Design!
After Izzy has created an awesome design, we glue it onto a block using a homemade rice glue. We then peel back the paper until all that is left is a thin layer showing the line work.

Then begins the carving. We use a one sided angled knife to outline the linework then a mixture of chisels and blades to remove the material. This block took somewhere between 15-25 hours to fully carve. This is the real carving speed 😂 turtle power!
