Three years ago, I gained my greatest blessing, and every day since, you’ve given me more reasons to fall in love with you all over again.

Your love for me runs deeper than I ever imagined possible. You’ve held my hand through every season, every high and every low, and you’ve never once let go. I don’t know what I did to deserve a partner as caring and devoted as you, but I thank God for you every single day.

We really need to learn how to respect people's choices, even when we don't understand them.📌

One of the things I've been thinking about lately is how quickly we have become comfortable turning other people's personal choices into public conversations.

We don't have to understand someone's lifestyle to respect their right to live it.

We don't have to agree with someone's parenting choices, relationship choices, career choices, religious beliefs, clothing choices, traditions or the way they choose to live their lives.

And we certainly don't need to attach a negative narrative to someone simply because their choices are different from ours.

Tolerance isn't agreement.
Respect isn't endorsement.
And disagreement shouldn't automatically become ridicule, judgement or public shaming.

There is so much diversity in humanity because there are so many different experiences, cultures, values and reasons behind the choices people make...

Perhaps humanity would be a little kinder if we learned to say, “I wouldn't make that choice,” without feeling the need to add, “therefore, your choice is wrong.”

Maybe the real question isn't “Do I agree with their choice?” but “Can I respect their right to make it?”
