Beyond honoured to have been invited to give a lecture last night at the National Liberal Club on the history of harp music on the British Isles - and to have had the opportunity to subject an audience to myself speaking at length about Celtic culture, class struggle, women’s history, politics, religion and the practical uses and symbolism of the harp in these lands in amongst it all! Of course I also included some pretty neat 400 year old gossip (the best kind) and a hefty portion of music history stuff too. As all who know me are aware, I am always prepared to talk (understatement) - and to be asked to speak at length about topics so important and interesting to me was a delight! Grateful too for the recital I gave after where I got to share some truly special pieces of music, many rarely played and others of cultural and political significance. A million and more thanks to the Renaissance 21 movement for facilitating this and many other incredible events- to Viktoriya, Teodor and the incredible Alisa for all they do. Their approach to art, heritage and performance, alongside their enthusiasm, is inspirational and contagious! Thank you too to everybody who has helped me with research, my personal WiFi/mobile signal crisis, advice and love! спасибо ❤️

“Rachmaninoff: The Lost Suite” — Official Documentary Teaser A musical mystery 135 years in the making. In 1891, seventeen-year-old Sergei Rachmaninoff composed his orchestral Suite in D minor and sent it to Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Through an extraordinary mistake, the manuscript was sent to the wrong recipient and subsequently disappeared. Just months later, that same year, Tchaikovsky travelled to New York to conduct at the opening celebrations of Carnegie Hall. More than a century later, in 2001, a piano manuscript of the Suite was rediscovered in the archives of Alexander Siloti. The original orchestral score, however, remains lost. In an extraordinary twist of history, 135 years later, Rachmaninoff’s long-lost Suite will finally receive its orchestral world premiere at Carnegie Hall on 12 November 2026, in its first-ever complete orchestration by composer and pianist Teodor Doré. Did Tchaikovsky ever see the score? Did the two composers ever discuss the work? And what happened to the original orchestral manuscript? Our documentary “Rachmaninoff: The Lost Suite” follows an ongoing historical investigation through rare correspondence, archival research and conversations with musicologists and scholars. The mystery remains unsolved. SUPPORT THE FILM & HISTORICAL INVESTIGATION We are raising funds to continue our international archival research, work with historians and musicologists, and uncover the missing chapters of this extraordinary story. It is incredibly exciting to return to Carnegie Hall this fall for a collaboration with an extraordinary group of international artists, composers, and musicians. On Thursday, November 12, 2026 at 7:30 PM, the MidAtlantic Philharmonic Orchestra will perform in Zankel Hall for the American launch of Renaissance-21, featuring the world premiere of Rachmaninoff’s Lost Suite in D Minor—a remarkable work rediscovered after more than a century as a piano manuscript and newly orchestrated by composer and pianist Teodor Doré, with the endorsement of the Rachmaninoff family. The program will also feature classical masterworks and music by contemporary composers, united by a shared artistic vision: the restoration of beauty, the revival of tonal music, and the return of harmony as a cultural value. I am very much looking forward to sharing this extraordinary evening with our musicians, collaborators, and audience at Carnegie Hall. 🎟️ TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW — BUY YOUR TICKETS TODAY! https://www.carnegiehall.org/Cart/Event-Seating?itemNumber=54816#/ MidAtlantic Philharmonic Orchestra 📍 Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall 📅 Thursday, November 12, 2026 🕢 7:30 PM #carnegiehall #midatlanticphilharmonic #rachmaninoff #renaissance21 classicalmusic newyorkcity teodordore mmjasontramm
