Whetu from Rangatahi Ora here—after 18 months of mahi with the Expert Advisory Group (EAG), today we handed over our report For Our Mokopuna to Hon Karen Chhour, Minister for Family and Sexual Violence Prevention, and to all of us who play a role in creating a future Aotearoa free of violence.

This report is grounded in the visions and voices of young people, ensuring our tamariki and rangatahi are protected from family and sexual violence. Shoutout to the incredible rangatahi in this space and the amazing adults I’ve had the privilege to learn from, including the speakers of today Whaea Karen, Dr Claire, Te Pae Marina, @quackpirihi @hailey_xavier and so many more. It was a beautiful reminder for us all to work under the umbrella of kotahitanga.

The full report will be available soon. This is just the beginning of our shared vision for a violence-free future! Endless gratitude to our EAG team! 🌞🫶

What an incredible day we had at Tunohopu Marae, presented by Te Rau Ora, in collaboration with Korowai Aroha, Manaaki Ora, Te Runanga o Ngāti Pikiao, Hauora Māori Services, and National Public Health Services Te Whatu Ora.

Our Mahi Pai Taniwha brought so much excitement to the tamariki, spreading positive energy and important messages about looking after our health. Pīwari was there too, sharing the message how we can all protect ourselves and our whānau by staying strong with our shield. Bubble time added a magical touch as the tamariki wishes floated into the sky 🌈✨ Ngā mihi nui to everyone who joined us and made the day so special!
