“I love God’s Love We Deliver. And I want everyone to experience all that people give of themselves every day to make a difference in someone’s lives.”

With a loving introduction from @MichaelKors, Misty Copeland (@MistyOnPointe) received the Michael Kors Award for Inspiring Philanthropy at our 20th Annual Golden Heart Awards. Reflecting on her childhood experiences with housing and food insecurity, Misty spoke about the importance of community and our shared responsibility to support one another.

From overcoming every version of “no” to becoming the first Black woman promoted to principal dancer at American Ballet Theatre, Misty has transformed ballet and expanded what generations of young artists believe is possible. Through her philanthropy and advocacy, she continues to open doors for others.

Misty also made a stop by GLWD on Sunday to tour our kitchen and meet our staff and volunteers. Welcome to the GLWD, Misty!

“I am so happy to support God’s Love We Deliver and I’ll tell you why. The work they do is critical. It’s urgent. And, I love this organization.”

One day after making her Broadway debut in Other Desert Cities, Julia Louis-Dreyfus (@officialjld) joined us at our 20th Annual Golden Heart Awards, where our Board member and event Co-Chair @MichaelKors presented her with the Golden Heart Award for Outstanding Artistry & Advocacy.

Across television, film, and Broadway, Julia has created unforgettable characters while using her voice to advocate for others. Reflecting on her experience with breast cancer, she spoke movingly about the comfort of sharing nourishing meals with her family during a vulnerable time. Julia’s warmth, humor, and compassion filled the @StJohnDivineNYC with joy, and we are proud to welcome her into the GLWD family.

What a night, and what an incredible cause! ❤️✨

So proud to serve on the board of @godslovenyc and celebrate its 20th Annual Golden Heart Awards, where we raised nearly $4 MILLION to help bring medically tailored meals to New Yorkers who need them most! 🙌🏾

Congratulations to this year’s incredible honorees, @officialjld, @mistyonpointe, whose acceptance speech was so heartfelt and beautiful that it had many of us in tears and Andrew Scott, for their contributions to philanthropy, advocacy, and community.

It was wonderful celebrating alongside @michaelkors, our AMZING President and CEO @terrencemeck, @lana_cooks, and so many others who believe in the power of showing up for one another. And let me tell you, DJ @thelinabradford absolutely KILLED it! 💃🏾

A beautiful evening filled with generosity, purpose, and a whole lot of love. Here’s to continuing the work of nourishing our neighbors and making sure no one faces illness alone. 🧡 Custom Caftan:@maxhosa @laduma Earrings: @coreensimpson The Black Cameo

“Mankind was my business. The common welfare was my business; charity, mercy, forbearance, and benevolence were all my business.” — Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol
