It’s the first time we’re reviewing an EP from an emerging artist on this account and what a way to start. This project’s core theme is mental health. There’s a million ways to approach mental health, but the message that struck me the most is the following: be graceful to yourself. And Teylor sure does give examples of how to achieve that: acknowledge, assess and be patient. Home, Patience, and No (freestyle) reflected that idea for me, and that’s one reason why they’re my favourite tracks on the EP. The other reason? Teylor is a damn good singer. I love how she layered her harmonies on Home and Distrust. I felt like a modern Disney princess was giving me advice, and it struck a chord. I loved this EP and I can’t wait to see what Teylor does next. I liked that album on an indica to absorb the harmonies, lyrics and warm atmosphere of the EP.

We’ve been doing a 2020 Top 10 Countdown at @mynd_matters_publishing over the past few days as we prepare for the year ahead. From letting people know who we are (our team), how we got our name, and what we do (beyond publishing traditional books), to my first national TV interview and a surprise shoutout by @kandi. Here are a few of the highlights. Enjoy!

It's still #NationalBookMonth! Check out team member @teylorparks with her most recent read.⠀
⠀
Five generations of strong women, ranging from ages 22 to 100, wrote this collection of stories that every woman needs to read. "The Journey to Joy" is raw, real, and offers different generational perspectives, as the women share moments of faith, courage, strength, and survival. After reading, Teylor felt reignited in her power and resilience as a woman. ⠀

Without you there would be no @dreamersfamu and for that alone we cannot thank you enough. Teylor thank you for showing all of us what it truly means to be a leader, show us patience, and much more. On behalf of Dreamers, Congratulations on graduating! 🥳💛 We are all so proud of you and all of your accomplishments and even though graduation was not idealistic it does not discredit all of you hard work! You will truly be missed but it’s your turn to take over the world🥳 To show our gratitude we wanted to share a few kind words. Thank you again for everything! Dreamers will forever live on #GoDreamers✨ #2020graduate🎓 #presidentsigningout
