I remember seeing the FIGS retreat on social media years ago, never thinking I would have the opportunity to be a part of one. I’m actually still in shock that I went. These past few days reminded me of what it means to be in healthcare - the highs, the lows, and all the in between. I went into this retreat unsure of what to expect, but came out with the honor of creating relationships with so many of the awesome humans in the FIGS community. Thank you to FIGS for reminding all of us the importance of slowing down and resting. This experience was special and I will remember it for the rest of my life➕🤍

Still reflecting on what an incredible weekend at AAPA 2026 was 🤍 I’m so grateful for the PA profession and for AAPA not only giving me the opportunity to continue sharing my journey as a PA and connecting with PA students, but also for creating a space where PAs and colleagues from all over the country can come together and truly bond over what it takes to do this career.

It was inspiring to connect with so many people across different specialties and backgrounds who all share the same passion for growing, advocating for, and educating others about the PA profession. The amount of work, mentorship, collaboration, and heart that so many people pour into this profession is something really special to witness.

I’m especially grateful for all of the other ambassadors — it was so amazing getting to meet and collaborate with people from all different parts of the country who are all helping push this profession forward in their own unique ways.

This weekend was one I won’t forget, and I’m leaving feeling incredibly grateful for everyone I met and every conversation I had. Can’t wait to see everyone next year in Phoenix ☀️

Words like “team-based care,” “licensed clinician,” and “practicing at the top of education, training, and experience” better reflect modern PA practice and the future of healthcare.

Everyday of the @wearfigs retreat started with a Pilates or yoga session

The athletic wear is @wearfigs X @newbalance compression wear and looked so good on every single person!

After Pilates, we changed into our new @wearfigs scrubs and sneakers & went on to do hours of wellness sessions by the talented @devibrown that unlocked so much healing for us.

If you know me, you know I treat sun as medicine. I packed all the swimsuits thinking we’d have time to go to the pool but wow-we were too busy!! We all agreed that we needed just one more day to lay by the pool and chat on all that we experienced together.

The way all of our fits for the week color coordinated made me feel so put together 🥰

See what I’m saying? The outfits looked good on every single one of us!! 🔥

I was surrounded by so many women who have such incredible stories. I left feeling so inspired

@smilewithsuki graduated from the same school as me. She is such a light and going to make a great dentist!!

@hana.rdh and I holding down the retreat as the only dental hygienists 🥹 I’ve followed her for years so it was so fun to finally meet

@anum.hash is the reason I was even on this trip and I’ll forever be thankful for this sweet momma. @kkmoon266 is a psychotherapist that @wearfigs so kindly shared her with us!

Every morning started with the @wearfigs run club. While I didn’t run, I did enjoy the sunrise walk with the walking gang 😉

The only other time I flew by myself was when I was 20. I was so anxious to go alone I cried when I hugged @dustin_wheelock goodbye. I faced so many fears on this trip it ain’t even funny 😆

It is literally the biggest honor to fight, work, and celebrate with some of the most passionate talented, enthusiastic, intelligent, empathetic, wonderful human beings in healthcare, and I am so incredibly grateful to @wearfigs and the Venable team for bringing us all together to share our stories and our lived experiences working in all aspects of healthcare to inspire and create REAL change.

Special thanks to our fearless leader @trina.spear , our amazing community mothers @anum.hash and @_dennisah_ , and our incredible director of advocacy @jordan.vivian for giving this fiery little oncology nurse a platform and a chance to fight for my patients, my profession, and, of course, my community. Never in a MILLION years would I ever think that this would be possible, and I’m still sitting here pinching myself to remind myself that this is was actually real.

And to @therealnoahwyle and his amazing mother, Marty, thank you for using your popularity and presence to advocate for HCPs nationwide. You may play a doctor on TV, but you have the heart, spirit, and passion of a true member of the healthcare community! ❤️
