Top of the morning to ya 🍀✨

This morning at 7:30am-8:30am I joined the monthly Creative Hour by @thatblackunicorn 🦄 (albeit, still half asleep 😴).

Creative Hour is is a quiet, low-pressure online space for creative people to work on their creative practice, whatever that looks like.

There is no pressure to produce, and no expectation to share. It’s simply a gentle, shared hour of focused time.

Creative Hour is inspired by the idea of body-doubling: showing up alongside others to make it easier to begin and to stay with your work.

Creative Hour is open to creatives of all kinds, including (but not limited to):
Writers
Artists and makers
Readers and researchers
Anyone with a creative practice they’d like space to return to
You don’t need to be a “professional” creative. You don’t need to be productive. You just need something you want time and space for.

Follow @thatblackunicorn for more info 🌚

a month on from reflections, our music and poetry event at @kittyslaundry , we’re still not over how magical a night it was:’) the name was inspired by themes of nostalgia and change, which have been on our minds a lot recently. in girl group, we’ve been lucky enough to experience some pretty mad things, but it’s nights like these that remind us of why we do any of it at all - bringing women and gender-queer people together to share, connect and celebrate who they are will always be our main motivator (that and being mega famous ovs !!!;)) it was such a pleasure hearing so many stories from people from all walks of life - there truly was tears and laughter (sometimes both at once) amongst everyone in the crowd. we feel priveleged to have been in that room<3 thank you so much to @tonguesofstone for collaborating with us and curating the amazing line-up of poets. thank you @annie0d0nnell for gracing us with your captivating music. please go and check out and support these fabulous creatives, as each and every one is bringing something truly unique to the world xxx

Romanticise your life 💕💖✨
@late_notes_ by @lu.what.where was giving
Grown and sexy
Black and beautiful
All shades of deliciousness
Sultry. Poised. Elegant. Demure.
Let me light my cigar
Drink my whiskey
And pull back my hair
For my locks are obstructing
The voices of greatness
I’ll see you around
Take your flowers
Straighten your crown💋

Can’t get over how lovely Sunday night was, my heart is so so full. Had the most beautiful time hosting my very first @late_notes_ event - I wasn’t sure how it would go, but I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a more perfect evening.

The poetry was incredible, the vibes were impeccable, I can’t wait to do it all again next month 🧡🍊🍸

📷 Huge thank you to @glamgigpics & @dmcdfilm for the gorgeous snaps

Genuinely couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful vibe - the performances were spectacular, the audience was lovely and the energy in the room was truly so special 🧡

📷 Huge thank you to @glamgigpics for capturing the magic so perfectly

Back on Sunday 1st March - would love to see you there!

What a night! What an experience! Hats off the the magnificent @lu.what.where for the inaugural and gloriously cool @late_notes_ at @kabin.bar

Some of the finest poetry performers Liverpool and beyond have to offer mixed with musical performance and, during the open mic, musical backing.

Stop for a moment and swipe through to the end too. There’s no social media friendly punchline as a reward if you do, but I think all of the performing artists deserve you to notice them. And you might want to check out their work.
