Day 3 of building an income online as a medical mom

I’m excited that I already have 2 videos completely done for my portfolio. They’re far from perfect, but I’m still proud of them.

If you’ve ever wondered what a combined PT/OT co-treat looks like for your child, here’s a peek:

It’s not just “extra hands.” It’s two trained professionals collaborating in real time, two perspectives, two skill sets, and a shared focus on helping your child succeed.
Sometimes we’re working toward the same goal (like improving trunk control or supporting reflex integration). Other times, we’re tackling different pieces at once (OT focusing on hand use and play skills & PT targeting postural control).

Did you know the cerebellum has more neurons than the entire rest of the brain?

We got to work on this very thing today while working with Jonah.
Jonah has been to AKAP before and he just finished an intensive with Dr. Conner Bor. With the help of mom, we were able to coordinate visits to bring the best of both worlds together.

Why the cerebellum?

Because it plays a key role in:
• coordinating movement
• timing and sequencing muscle activity
• turning muscles on and off at the right moment
• helping the body respond to gravity

So when a child is struggling with reflexes like the TLR (tonic labyrinthine reflex), we have to look deeper than just the muscles.

The TLR is heavily influenced by how the brain processes gravity and head position. And that processing happens through the cerebellum and vestibular system.

We decided to work on inhibiting the TLR reflex with movement while using the laser on the cerebellum.

These are the types of exciting protocols we can do with laser and movement.

When it comes to laser, less is more.
Not all lasers are created equally, and learning how to use one correctly should come from a qualified professional.

Because this isn’t about a quick 5-day change. It’s about building a foundation for neuroplasticity that continues long after you leave.
