POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

We tend to overestimate what we can do in a weekend… and underestimate what we can do in 60 days.

A thriving garden isn’t the result of one Saturday afternoon. It’s watering, weeding, pruning, and paying attention—little by little.

The same is true for your life.

A stronger relationship with your child isn’t built in one big vacation. It’s built in the 10-minute conversations before bed, the rides to practice, the moments when you really listen.

A business isn’t built in a burst of motivation. It’s built by sending one email, making one phone call, creating one piece of content, helping one customer… then doing it again tomorrow.

A podcast, a nonprofit, a healthier body, a cleaner home, a better marriage—they all grow the same way.

Tiny choices.
Repeated consistently.

Don’t dismiss the small things because they don’t feel impressive today. Those little habits have a way of quietly changing everything.

What small choice could you make today that your future self will thank you for 30 or 60 days from now?

🔥🔥 NEW EPISODE 🔥🔥

Episode Title: Menopause, Trauma, and Toxic Family Patterns: A Conversation with That Menopause Guy (Bonus Episode 37)

Host: Dr. Sherrie Campbell

Guest: Ali Farhat

Publish Date: November 27, 2025 Thursday PST

🌸 Menopause is often framed as a breakdown, but what if it’s actually a breakthrough? In this episode, we dive deep into how the hormonal shifts of midlife don’t create problems; they reveal them.

🌸 We explore how menopause strips away the “people-pleasing filter,” resurfaces childhood survival roles like caretaker or peacemaker, and forces women to confront toxic family dynamics they may have tolerated for years.

🌸 Our guest, That Menopause Guy, shares his personal story of growing up with an abusive father and how his healing journey gave him insight into the survival patterns many midlife women carry: fawning, freezing, and chronic over-functioning. We also talk about the painful parallels between medical dismissal and narcissistic abuse, and how invalidation from doctors can retraumatize women who’ve already lived through toxic family systems.

🌸 By the end of this episode, you will see why menopause is less about losing yourself and more about finally recognizing yourself clearly. You will learn why old patterns rise up in midlife, how to stop repeating them, and what steps you can take to start setting boundaries and creating emotional freedom.

Got the sweetest visit today from my friend @thatmenopauseguy Ali—for those who don’t know, he’s the menopause guy online. 💪✨ Before I was ever diagnosed with Graves’ disease, Ali was the one who helped me get my hormones and weight in order. Honestly, I credit him with setting me up for success when my health took a turn.

When you get a big autoimmune diagnosis, it’s such a relief to look back and know you’ve already been stacking wins—like quitting drinking 2 years ago, making better food choices, and learning how to really care for my body. 🙌

Ali has been a huge part of that journey for me, and he continues to help women navigate the wild ride of menopause with knowledge, humor, and a lot of heart. If you’re curious about his work, you can find him here on Instagram or check out the podcast episode 429 we did together (also up on YouTube 🎙️).

PS—he’s even cuter in person 😉

She came to coaching feeling like she’d lost herself—forgotten her worth, her voice, her spark.

But session by session, she started to remember…
That she’s powerful. Intuitive. A total badass. 👏

This is the work I live for—helping women come home to themselves.
Confidence isn’t a bonus, it’s the foundation. And once she got hers back? Game on. 💥

☄️There is no one-size-fits-all solution for perimenopause and menopause.

👊Some of us may really benefit from HRT.
👉And yeah, maybe some of us need SSRIs.
🤘Some people need both.
🖕Some, given the options, will choose neither.
👌And that’s ok.👌

😱Doctors usually don’t suggest screaming into the abyss while rage-cleaning the kitchen at midnight, but hey, if it helps…

What we are saying here is that ALL of us deserve better than dismissal and vague advice to “try yoga.”

This is not just about hot flashes.

It’s about mood swings, memory fog, identity crisis, physical pain, a biological imperative that affects every organ in the female body, and when it comes down to it, sometimes not even recognizing the person in the mirror. And if you’re ND, too… all that shit is amplified.

SO, here’s the deal:
We need more men who don’t just tolerate this, they understand it, talk about it, and back us the fuck up. (Thanks, James! 🥰)

👉Educated partners make a massive difference.
👉Support reduces symptom severity.
👉Men who get it help us get through it.

It’s not just sweat.
It’s a system breakdown.
It’s a hormonal rebellion.
And support starts with believing women and offering options, not one-size-fits-all bullshit.

🔥 Tag a man who actually gives a shit.
💬 Or drop a 🔥 if you’ve ever had to fake normal while melting from the inside out.

Two episodes left in season one of the podcast! Episode 11 drops next week. This is your chance to catch up!

Confidence isn’t about strutting into the room like Beyoncé (although, if you can pull that off, please teach us your ways). Real confidence? It’s quieter, cheekier, and built one slightly shaky step at a time—with good lighting and a decent pair of high-waisted pants.

Here’s the thing: confidence doesn’t magically appear with the right serum or a perfect morning routine (though caffeine definitely helps). It’s built through preparation—yes, actually knowing your stuff—and repetition. Like wearing red lipstick until it feels less like a costume and more like war paint. Or speaking up in meetings until you no longer have to rehearse what you’re going to say 47 times in your head first. Practice makes poised.

But the secret sauce? Letting go of expectation. When you stop trying to be perfect, or palatable, or Pinterest-level polished, you free up all that energy to just be. That’s where the magic happens. Confidence blooms when you’re no longer performing, but just showing up—messy bun, nervous giggle, and all.

So go ahead, prepare. Practice. But then let it all go and trust yourself. Confidence isn’t about being flawless—it’s about being fully you. Preferably with a snack in your purse and a “screw it” attitude in your pocket.

Vulnerable Post 🚨

I felt great at 40 years old, but for some reason at 41 my body and I weren’t getting along. I started having hot flashes, heart palpitations, weight gain, inflammation and bloating were on another level.

I was in denial that I could be starting peri menopause, but I was told it could start 10 years prior to menopause.

Luckily I reached out to a friend and now my trainer @realalifarhat and did a consultation with him. He is a Certified Menopause Hormone Practitioner. We did a full blood panel and I found out quickly what I needed. My adrenals were out of whack and what I thought was healthy eating had a ton of inflammatory triggers.

So I changed to an anti inflammatory nutrition plan, started taking Make Wellness super supplements and trained 3x/week. Best part is, I still enjoy the foods I have always loved, but the ingredients are better. The supplements have helped with what my body was lacking and most of all, my energy and mood are 1000% better 🙌🏻

I’m taking…

🌟Lean (completely decreases my hunger and cravings for sweets and carbs)
🌟Fit (workouts have been longer and I’m not nearly as sore. I drastically saw a decrease in bloat and inflammation) definitely see increase in muscle and tone
🌟Hydrate (tastes amazing and helps with electrolytes, also helped my skin a lot)
🌟 Calm (one of my favorites, think of a glass of wine without the hangover)

A big thank you to @realalifarhat and @wearemakewellness for helping me reach my lowest weight in 10 years, strongest I have felt in a long time and feeling back to being a healthy Mama. ❤️
