That Night (@thatnightdoc) is an animated short documentary recounting the firsthand experience of women’s rights activist Neda Naji, who survived the terror from within Evin Prison on the night it went up in flames in October 2022. Blending visceral testimony with powerful visuals, the film reveals a night of chaos, fear, and violence—and the unbreakable sisterhood that rose from it.

This weekend holds the full spectrum: the grim and the glam, and the space in between where @helmettoheels has always lived.

On Friday, @thatnightdoc premieres at @docnycfest . A film about Iranian women inside Evin Prison, directed by my brilliant sister in storytelling, @hodasobhaniii and produced by @elletoussi . I’m proud to be Executive Producer of this film, H2H’s first foray into film. The courage of these women - and the sisterhood that carried this film - is the real headline.

On Saturday, we celebrate my birthday with the film crew, Breakfast Club style. Because sometimes we use the glam to pull people into the grim… not to sensationalize it, but to inspire action, spark solutions, and remind people that even in the darkest places, women still create light.

Maybe that’s the Breakfast Club tie: a group of unlikely people, thrown together by circumstance, finding connection, truth, and solidarity. That’s us. That’s this film. That’s this weekend.

‼️ Final stretch for an important Iran doc ‼️

I’m proud to support ‘That Night’ (@thatnightdoc), a powerful animated documentary led by the brilliant @HodaSobhaniii and her all-women team. ‘That Night’ is based on activist Neda Naji’s personal account of the harrowing fire at Evin Prison, where she was held in confinement during the 2022 Woman, Life, Freedom uprising.

With seven days left, the campaign is 66 percent funded, but they need to hit 80 percent to get the green light on @SeedandSpark. Every donation, no matter the size, gets Hoda and her team closer to sharing this important project with the world. (All donations are tax deductible.)
