We packed a lot of baseball into one Saturday! In the middle of it all, our 15U team completed a come from behind victory with a walk-off hit by Zoe.

Today, our 16u Blue team was awarded the Maybelle Blair Love of the Game Medal.

Many of the girls on 16u Blue have played at BFA Nationals together for years. As a group, they have grown as people and athletes, becoming close friends and a dynamic team. Everything they do celebrates the legacy of Maybelle Blair her infectious joy and love of baseball.

These girls learned from legends like @paloma_benach @r.churches12 @pipercherryy and @shalvah.lazarus who embody that spirit!

This week is everything that makes girls baseball so special.

I’m incredibly proud of our young group. With a roster made up mostly of 14U players playing 16u, who had their ups & downs but battled all week long.

But the best part of this week has never been the wins or losses. It’s reconnecting with friends who feel like family, creating new friendships, and spending the week alongside people who all believe in the same mission: growing girls baseball.

I’m also incredibly proud to say the Pawtucket Slaterettes are the inaugural recipients of the Love of the Game Award. There couldn’t be a more fitting honor for a program built on sportsmanship, respect, and a genuine love for this game and growing it. It’s something every player, coach, and alum can be proud of.

This game has given me so much, and this week is always a reminder of that. Until next year. 💚⚾
